J.K. Rowling: everybody in this well established world is now suddenly gay as are you currently reading this
@jouze, The thing I don’t get about the whole J.K. Rowling thing is that it literally changes nothing in the story. There was no point to do it (other than to normalize homosexuality in our world I suppose) but there’s also no reason to get mad lol because once again... it changes nothing about the story. Not saying you were weighing in one way or another just using your comment as a jumping off point. I always wondered why people cared.
@Blasphemy is Fun, I dont think most people care. I certainly didnt. Might've been a little pandering but it changes nothing about the story and it is likely that there are some homosexuals in the universe.
@Runnin with scissors, I’ve seen firsthand this app in particular and to a lesser extent the internet as a whole have a large problem with it. I never got why but it’s come up a lot haha. Yeah I don’t care one way or another, it’s her universe so she can do what she wants. To be fair if she wanted it in there I would have preferred she specify in the books just so it’s fleshed out while I read it instead of me having to rewrite my own version of the world but it’s not nearly enough of an issue for me to even care really.
Could you imagine the batshjt doorstopper we could have gotten if these two co-wrote a book together?
@SimonPetrikov, they knew each other didn’t they? If so it’s such a missed opportunity.
Yeah I think they were very good friends and also rivals. Both had similar experiences growing up.
@Toxia, Tolkien is actually the one who led Lewis to faith
@Chum dog, well they both like fantasy so it was inevitable.
I’ll take it!
Both literary geniuses. Personally, I think Tolkien wrote better fiction but C.S. Lewis was a better writer overall.
@PottedPlant, another great writer was L.M. Montgomery of the Anne of Green Gables series. God I loved those books. The way she wrote about Avonlea makes you feel like you're standing right there. I can imagine the smells and the sun and the sea breeze on my face.
