@dj evolve fan club, there’s this podcast episode I listened to in October 2019 where they played out a pandemic scenario. In the scenario the h5n8 flu jumped from birds in a market to humans and went worldwide, triggering shutdowns, ventilator shortages, and of course a ton of deaths. I remember listening and going “huh... they’ll probably catch it before it gets to that, like Sars.” Boy was I wrong

@dj evolve fan club, @dj evolve fan club, crazy how they can predict what will happen like that. It's almost like it has happened multiple times or something and it's usually no big deal. Bird flus have been confirmed for years and have been a major concern for years as they are readily spread by birds. Thankfully most humans and common pets are immune. What you mean is less "bird flu in general" and more "H5N8 confirmed in humans". That confused me for a minute.
I saw on a Japanese tv channel that they just confirmed the first case of bird flu in humans. also on Netflix there is a show called "Explained". One episode is about pandemics and it was filmed before covid outbreak so it is really creepy. It warns of the "wet markets" in Asian countries where they sell all kinds of animal meat but don't kill it until you buy it and diseases from animals combine and mutate into corona viruses. update***** it's called H5N8 and it's in Russia
