I liked his character. I even went trick or treating that year as Qui Gon Jon (my name) I dressed like him, but changed the name slightly.
@SeelenVerKaufer , wow can't believe your parents named you Qui Gon Jon
@SeelenVerKaufer , Qui Gon Buttface? What a strange name.
I mean who wouldn’t be happy about it. He got a butt ton of money to live most of our dreams.
@BigJohnson86, "I got paid to play with a lightsaber, suck it losers"
For all the hate they get I loved every second of them as a kid. As I grew up I liked some bits less, but there was also still a ton that I thoroughly love to this day. Qui Gon and Obi Wan are fantastic so he should be proud.
@spongeblade, Same, I was in junior high in to high school when the 3 prequels we're coming out. I think they're great, not perfect, but what is tbh.
Other than garlic bread
He was one of the good parts
Lets be fair he wasnt the bad part of the movie.
I liked the Star Wars Prequels. I think people talked trash only because there were the originals to compare them to. They were made 20+ years apart. Of course they are different. But not necessarily inferior or better.
@VinoVeritas, it wasn’t because of the story. At the time the hate was towards Lucas’s overuse of CGI. Even the updates to the original trilogy in the early 2000s were criticized because a lot of scenes were redone with CGI. The fact that Anakin was a whiny little b*tch didn’t help either.
@Sir Borksalot , - Were there parts of the CGI that rarely took me out of the story because it was obvious CGI? Yes. Was Hayden Christensen sometimes winey or cringe in Episode II? Yes. But for the most part, I really enjoyed all 3 episodes and still watch them occasionally. Probably more so now than the original trilogy. And I saw the sequel trilogy, but I have no desire to rewatch. But to each their own. I know not everyone digs the prequels. But now anything cheesey or funny or cringy kind of adds to the charm/fandom.
I'd be down for a Qui Gon series/movie
