I wish so badly people would see "Pastor" Joel's refusal to open his doors to flood refugees as an allegory towards "Christians" who refuse to open their doors to Colombian and Middle Eastern refugees. Edit: Based on the downvotes, I should apologize to the Osteen sympathizers here. Refugee and low-crime statistics be damned. You're not a bad person for condemning refugees to death.

@Medic135, hi there, I want to start of by clarifying this isnt an "attack" on you. However I have been on this app for...well I can't even remeber how long, several years but i have never commented. Seeing these comments though really does distress me and i feel the need to clarify something. Europe has not fallen, crime has not dramatically risen, the vast vast majority of these refugees are here not because they want to be but because they basically have no choice. Many are coming here because they chose to oppose extremists just as we do, and now the extremists will kill them... though its wrong to deny that accepting refugees cause no problems, it most certianly does. We have to have basic humanity. They are living people, many of them young children who if we don't help will be subject to the most horrendous acts that we cant even imagaine. Please lets not demonise these people because of the few.

@bonja, false, crime rates have risen. Germany, France and Sweden's governments have all been caught covering it up. They also are giving the migrants severely reduced sentences, if they're even charged. It's become a serious offence to criticize Islam in europe and doing so could stick you in prison. FGM rates have skyrocketed all over Europe, as have terror attacks. These are economic migrants, most of the ones coming in aren't from a part of Syria seeing conflict. They're also mostly men between 18 and 27, not women and children like the media so desperately wants you to believe. They even attack highways in large groups now.

@RustyFapwagon, dude... the hell you getting your information from. Look at any statistics in the uk for crime to do with twitter and the numbers are tiny for arrsets. Like 95% of those arrests are for harrassement of random folk, thinks like stalking and stuff. Also I had a look around and the only times i could see anyone at all being arrested for "islamic critisim" was someone who was literally blaming random muslims for attacks and spewing racist epithets. Also in Britian it works both ways as there have been arrests of hate speach from the other side... British people don't go by the american laws of say what you want. British people belive if your inspiring hatred or pose a danger through your words you should be held accountable. If you want to argue whos ideals are better then thats up to you but dont force your views on others... so ironic Also if you want to make a point atleast know the basic statistics without making random baseless claims.
-
@RustyFapwagon, dude the people getting arrested arent like oh its a bit mean... its people who are trying to incite actual hate. People who take it too far. American has full on say what you want, but others nations dont. In britian you'd be arrested on the grounds of breach of the peace. Pretty ironic to impose your laws and thoughts on others though. Also the whole arrested for jokes... yeah someone was it was a mistake, it was practically immeditaly overturned. Because justice systems never make mistakes though? Honestly if you really think that many are getting arrested your completely dullusional.
-
@bonja, it's happened a few times and some people are spending a year or more in jail for it? They haven't been pardoned at all. I have no idea what you're talking about. Also I'm not forcing my laws on others. I think Orwellian laws that prohibit free speech are screwed up. Of course I'm going to say that's ridiculous.
-
@RustyFapwagon, ofc theres people in jail for it... dude if someone went out and was saying theyre gonna murder someone over twitter they will get arrested... makes logical sense. Thats the sorta stuff that the vaaaast majority are in jail for. Also one thing the media also screws up is comparing the difference between detained and arrested/convicted. Also I personally think being allowed to preach hate and to incite violence purely because you have "free speech" is completely mental. Doesnt mean I'm going to try apply my thoughts on whats right or wrong to your country. You have your way we have ours.
-
@bonja, but that's not what these people said. At all. A ton of these people are convicted and in jail for saying "Muslims are responsible for terror attacks" and things like that. Not just arrested, but convicted. Police departments are literally tweeting out "make sure you don't say anything offensive" on a near daily basis. Lol oh wait you're an enemy of free speech too? Solid. That makes sense.
-
@RustyFapwagon, again I live in these places and this... it just doesnt happen. Also i agree with free speech to an extent. I don't think that its ok to go around trying to cause harm to others. How is something free if it hurts someone else? And no I don't mean your airy fairy oh you hurt my feelings. I mean like literal danger. What happens when radical preachers say its ok to kill people? Is that ok because its free speech? To me hell no.
-
@bonja, it is happening. Also there have been multiple Muslim protests where people have been walking around holding signs that say things like "slay those who insult Islam" "Europe will pay demolition is on its way" "behead those who insult Islam" "jihad to defend Muslims" none of them were arrested. Tons of British BLM and feminists have said things like "kill white people" and none of them were arrested. And there have also been Imams all over the UK and Europe saying exactly that. Guess how many of them were arrested? None.
-
@RustyFapwagon, ah geez its so.... just everything is like why this world is such a depressing place. The fact is theres an element of truth in what your saying but the real truth is just so far what you think its like here. No matter how much i tell you its just not like that here at all you won't belive me as your set in your view. I won't profess any knowledge of the situation where you are... if anything I hope that for you and for others who belive in similar things you have the opportunities to spend a decent amount of time in europe at somepoint to really see what its like. Either way this is going nowhere now and I'm not degrading myself to discussing non-issues and exagerated points.
-
@bonja, the stats say otherwise. The videos coming out of Muslim riots and protests says otherwise. The massive spike in FGM, assault, rape, theft, and terror attacks across Europe says otherwise. Highways near refugee camps being shut down on a nearly daily basis says otherwise. Tourist industry is taking a beating too. These are facts. Again, saying "but I didn't see it so it's not happening" is kinda retarded.
-
@RustyFapwagon, Again its half truths. Some of what you say to a certian extent has happened but nowhere near what you think. Also man common are you even reading what im saying. I didnt say if i dont see it its not happening, your just twisting my words to make me fit into some sorta stereotype of the sort of person you think has my views. Frankly man as i said earlier this is going nowhere. You and I dont agree may as leave it as theres not going to be any budging on anyside and I don't want to be drawn from an debate to calling stuff "retarded" as a retort. It feels self insulting to lower to that level.
