They disagree because one is a bad boi and the other is a good guy
Maybe god tries but the devil intervenes?
Those charities could be GODS work but the devil's corruption ruins them with scandals and bad people looming for profits.
@Sambob, don't know why you got downvoted... It's your opinion. In the end, no one really knows. In my opinion, god doesn't treat us as puppets, but gave us a free will and a free life. Of course there is a lot of suffering, many bad things are happening. But personally, I'd rather live a life that has pain and difficulties than be someone's puppet. But like I said, in the end no one really knows, and I don't either.
@A pet named Steve, Totally agree with you both. And I also think that we don't fully understand God's plan. Like for instance, my Dad died a few years ago, and yeah it sucked, but he is now in heaven, and a lot of other things have happened that may not have happened if he was still here. Things may be totally different or totally the same but I could never know or understand God's plan.
@A pet named Steve, I'm not even Christian, but I think if were gonna start blaming god for what we think he's not doing then we can certainly start blaming the devil at the same time.
Like you said about free will. If god and the devil were playing chess, I see it as god takes a turn, the devil counters, then we as the pieces either change sides, refuse to move, or go a different way entirely.
Must suck if you do have a plan to help but No one wants to go along with it. But Id rather have my own free will than be a puppet as well.
@Sambob, I like the way you put it. What's interesting is that my former religion teacher told us he does not believe in the devil, or at least not in the way that we "know" him. I do not believe in him either, or more precisely, I don't believe in hell. Perhaps everything is just pure coincidence, our doing, or, like you said, it's god and Lucifer playing chess. I wonder if we'll ever know what's truly going on.
@A pet named Steve, it's stops being faith when we know; faith is perseverance in spite of the lack of proof.
Sometimes that good, sometimes it's bad. Only one way to find out for now and I am not that eager.
@Sambob, what if you placed your faith in the wrong God however? Cause afterall, what truly makes your God the one true God? There's plenty of Gods worshipped before him, what makes the difference if it's really the Egyptian God's the true ones? In all honesty, no one can prove or disprove any God. This is why I'm an atheist.
@The Pun Shielder, Personally I think that it's the same god for all people, but we see/interpret him differently. Maybe God is a mystical power within us, or an old man on a cloud throwing lighting bolts at stuff. Maybe he is something completely different. In my opinion it does not matter how we worship our God/gods (as long as no one gets harmed), it's the faith in God that counts.
@A pet named Steve, I've had that thought as well, when I was agnostic.
@Sambob, Neither the devil nor god exists. Only idiots supporting religions and assholes stealing those idiots' money
Maybe there is no such thing as the devil or god and people should stop making excuses
