JJJ is not a bad guy. He just has a skewed view on Spider-man. Not only is he willing to die for his journalistic integrity, but he's also not going to rat out who he assumes to be an innocent kid. Some of his arcs in the comics cover his background and thoughts more in-depth and they're pretty good. Jealousy of spider-man, strict adherence to written law, family trauma, the dude's got his reasons for calling spidey a menace.
@Commander Peanuts, he's a cynical man that has a heart of gold. Can't blame him for hating Spider-Man. He's a genuine necessity since he makes Spider-Man work as morally righteous as possible, thanks to all his criticisn. Besides, if heroes were real, they'd be closer to "heroes" like in the Boys, and there would be millions of JJJs
@Commander Peanuts, There’s also been times in the comics when JJ learns of SpiderMan’s identity and becomes a bit of a Commissioner Gordon figure. Once he found out that it was Peter behind the mask he realized that SpiderMan really is a hero and he actively worked with Peter to help him catch villains.
@Commander Peanuts, if I do recall he at one time worked with Spidey after Peter revealed his identity to him
@TheRatMan, oh wow I’d didn’t know that. That’s awesome!
He's the hero New York deserves AND the one it needs! Brushheads for life!
@deveranmar, except in the new spiderman he released his identity to the whole city via the news
@ Ump89, maybe he ascribes to the ideal #notmyspiderman (even though Tom Holland is a dear)
@ Ump89, hes running a news station. And technically vigilantism is illegal, even in the context of the MCU.
And In the original movies he wasnt protecting spiderman, he was protecting peter from the green gobbler.
@Guy Fawkes, the green gobbler sounds like a mutant turkey villain
What am I saying. H'ES A MENACE
Say what u want about JJJ but he ain’t a snitch he’d rather die than talk like a real man I feel like part gets overlooked a lot so I’m glad it’s finally getting some attention
Hmm I wonder why he did that
No snitching around here said jj
Does it not usually say at the end of the article who took the pictures?
