or duck duck go
If you want some actual knowledge, the biggest hurdle is actually having the resources to invade a country as geographically isolated. China would have the best bet and they don't have the naval power to effectively take a key port city without it costing significantly more than it is worth.
@Slayer9200, Russia might have some new options once we finish melting those North Pole ice caps. But we have Canada as a buffer and Russia just blew their load on Ukraine. Not sure they’ll have anything left for 50-100 years or more. (Besides nukes)
Then again, that’s around the time the north might be open so…
@Canis Arktos, Russia would have to make some serious changes to their military doctrine in order for that to be feasible. Keep in mind that in the past they basically just threw bodies at a problem until it either became too expensive to continue or it worked at a stupidly high cost. And given the state of things right now their doctrine hasn't improved by any appreciable leaps and bounds.
@Slayer9200, isn’t Alaska like 12 miles from Russia
@JAMA, while this is a good point. The infrastructure needed to be successful is not available in that area. Hell a large portion of the state has to either have things flown in or shipped in, and given how badly it's going in Ukraine that actually has some decent road coverage comparitively, Alaska would probably be the last place to start an invasion. You might be able to take it, but it wouldn't make for a good staging area for the rest of the country because you'd have to either load equipment back onto a ship or slowly get it through mountain passes and primitive roads which most ground attack pilots would have a field day with. The distance to anything much further than Alaska would be difficult to gain air superiority over given the US approach to air power and given they haven't even accomplished that in Ukraine, they wouldn't be able to do it here without a massive number of losses.
@Slayer9200, alright, enjoy waving your dick around
@JAMA, oh I will. I've almost got the helicopter gyration in perfect sync with any music I listen to.
@JAMA, that’s how we do it in ‘merica!Personally, I like headbanging muh dick to heavy metal
At least Hawaii looks safe
@Fairy Squad Mother, do you remember Pearl Harbor? It was in fact the safest place to hit… until everything else hit back.
@Canis Arktos, moral of that story is don't fúck with the US's boats. The last country that did had two cities temporarily wiped off the face of the earth.
@Slayer9200, true. Though the bigger reason we had nuked them was because A LOT more people would’ve died invading Japan. So nuking them saved a lot of lives and resources. But still at a terrible cost
As a Texan can confirm we are all cowboys. And even half the blues own guns
North California is very different from Southern California. A lot more long guns up there.
An invasion of mainland America is non feasible. You could land sure, you could push a bit of the way in, but why? Youde lose the ground, you would lose men and resources, and you would gain literally nothing. There isnt qnother country that could single handedly invade qnd hold anywhere for any amount of time
What is a CMP person because I’m one of them apparently
@More Butter, based on Google and the context my best guess is a member of the civilian marksmanship program.
