Yeah read don't watch berserk... If you can handle it that is
This probably doesn't belong here, but I hate book adaptations in film because it destroys the versions of characters I created in my imagination and replaced them with Hollywood's version.
@Mag3rPayne, which is a good reason to be picky about what you watch
@Mag3rPayne, same. I couldn’t make it 10 minutes into Blade Runner. It just wasn’t at all what I pictured
“Honey badger takes what honey badger wants.”
Yeah... no, rewarding mediocrity is why adaptations are consistently bad.
When I was young I used to subscribe to “if I enjoy it then who cares” and now that I’m older I’m more conscious more about why I enjoy things and why I didn’t enjoy other things. I love Gremlins 2. And if I watched a “remake” and it’s terrible, but young people “love” it I’m gonna point out the original. With puppets and not CGI. “Ah the graphics, the no cgi, it’s too old, just let me enjoy crap stuff”. No. Just because I like something doesn’t mean it’s good.
I agree to skip filler but if my friend is actually watching it then I’m happy
