I was arguing with someone online about the need for a mask in a certain place. She said she couldnt wear masks. I assumed that she was talking out her asš about not getting enough oxygen or something stupid and talked down to her a little bit.
Then she said she was gang raped 3 years ago with one of the guys holding her mouth to prevent her from screaming. And anytime she has something like a face mask or something covering her face sends her into ptsd attacks/ flash backs.
And I felt like shït. I apologized before leaving the conversation.
@NameyMcNameFace, It’s just like vaccines, the rest of us need them to help out the people who legitimately can’t use them
@NameyMcNameFace, just another example of why we should mind our own business.👍🏼
@DFYANT, just another example of ignorance being bad, and why it's good to discuss things with others.
“Masks cause low blood oxygen levels!”
Yeah? So does being stabbed, Karen. Get out of the line!
@ImNotRacistBut, dude, wtf?
@That one lurker, what? Is my zipper down?
@ImNotRacistBut, other then that.
If their is people dumb enough in this world that believes the "low blood" thing. How many more are dumber, that only understand word association in reading. Normalizing violent language towards a group could see that group being perceived as an other. A loss of respect and humanity.
My example is an older woman walking around a park. She finds a couple eating on the park bench eating. She pepper sprayed them.
Are you ok with that?
@That one lurker, dude we are not on the same page
@ImNotRacistBut, I found your joke in poor taste. When you asked what, I gave you my reasoning. I find the topic toxic enough before we started joking about stabbings.
@That one lurker, I’m sorry you got upset at my joke.
@That one lurker, but not really
@ImNotRacistBut, came back a day later to inform me that you was being sarcastic.
When I only came here to ask that we not joke about stabbing people.
Sure, you have the high ground here, it's not like people are being assaulted for less.
Wah, wah, wah. Get over it Karen. Thank you to all the healthcare workers whose faces are blistered and bruised from having to wear N95 masks during all your working hours. Thank you from most of the world who knows healthcare workers are our heroes.
@Polish Bob, "healthcare workers". I don't consider the nurses in the New York nursing homes my hero's for not speaking out against the governor. I don't consider Planned Parenthood my hero's when they've killed millions of black children. I don't consider "dispensaries" my hero either. Narrow your terms and praise the work the doctors and nurses do, not them themselves.
@That one lurker, do you mean weed dispensaries? No, they are not healthcare workers. I’m talking about doctors & nurses who are working long hours everyday to care for people. I sometimes have to wear a mask often, but not for long periods. It’s inconvenient at times but I’m not going to complain about it.
@Polish Bob, yeah, under the loose term of "health care" weed dispensaries are apart of "health care".
Your comment rubbed me the wrong way. It is appear example of demonization and deification. I'm at the same end point as you, my problem is blanket overarching statements. Like all Karen bad, health care worker our heroes. As if there was an other how didn't believe that. I agree doctors and nurses are doing good work under this pressure. But not all of them are, and not all "health care" workers are heroes.
Sucks for Karen’s.. Even manager won’t speak to them without mask
Yeah, those masks filter out all the oxygen. Better not wear them for too long!
@bowlnmike, they also protect you from all the immunizations that the government has been seeding into the air to give all your kids the Autism
@bowlnmike, I got so pissed off with the whole “it takes all the oxygen away thing” that I decided to put it to the test. I bought a pulse oximiter, checked my O2 sats, wore a mask for an hour, checked again. What do you know - no change....
@Nellybert , I was at the beach and they required them on the boardwalk, so for part of my morning run, I wore one. When I looked at my heart rate chart for the run, there was no discernible difference between the part of the run with a mask and the part without. That surprised me, TBH. But the mask was kinda disgusting afterwards.
Same could be said of the Karens complaining of Rona- the magical disease that’s replaced nearly all other causes of death and has never once been reported to have “transferred from a child to an adult” in the entire world.
Shout out to the ten Karens that disliked this
