@K1l, TLJ had that arrogant b1tch who talked down Po and decided not to say anything about her plan which was entirely bs and failed anyway and gave her a cool awesome death while killing off Ackbar in the lamest possible. That seemed really sjw to me at least. But that's not the biggest reason why they're bad.

@The Pun Shielder, Ackbar is only even known because of memes. Personally, I didn’t care he really died and im a huge star wars fan, but he was a character that had total screentime in the originals of like 5 minutes max. And on holdo, what add eggs then stir said. The only information that Holdo had about Po was that he got a big portion of their fleet killed. It was a realistic scenario of what could happen in that type of situation when a new leader takes over. Plus, she was portrayed as an antagonist for most of the movie, we were supposed to dislike her. And she got a cool death as a redemption, which in my opinion, worked. If that isn’t your biggest reason, what is?

@K1l, entire plotlines unneeded in the film, the terrible way they handled Luke, the sheer letdown of Snoke, and the director himself even wanted to make the movie against people's expectations, and the forced on relationship of Finn and (name of that mechanic character), that casino planet, the misfortune after misfortune plotline was a mess. There's some big reasons why I don't like TLJ, overall it didn't fit with the previous movies at all.

@The Pun Shielder, Yeah the defenders kind of push it. I remember hearing about how feminism brought down TLJ, so I was actively looking for feminist aspects of the film...there were like two instances of them, one of which went well with the movie (Kylo and Rey's desire to end the old ways and reinvent tradition) and one of which clashed with the setting and conflict (Rose's "we shouldn't destroy what we hate" speech). Neither of these are strictly feminist, just qualities of feminism. People realize feminism is more than "female main character," right?

@SimonPetrikov, I think some people just jumped on the bandwagon. They didn’t like the movie, so they had to blame it on something other than just realizing that they just didn’t like it. So, they resorted to “hurr durr feminism ruins everything” instead of pointing out the actual issues with the film.

I had a dream the other day that I was at an event (not sure what, dreams are nonspecific that way) and somebody from LucasFilm came on stage and said “This has been a tricky year for us, lots of backlash lots of criticism, so we put a lot of thought into this upcoming project. We think we’ve made the right moves but obviously the reaction here will tell that. Anyway let’s just get into it.” and then gestured to a screen above him. The lights dimmed, the screen illuminated and the classic John Williams intro began playing as the words “The Last Jedi is No Longer Canon” crawled across the screen. Everyone cheered. People who weren’t there cheered. And then I woke up covered in fluids
Dear god why!?!?!
