I've had two facial surgeries, one that was emergency to put my nose back on and fix my destroyed lip. The other one was to try to make me look normal. I still have scars and am missing part of my face. I had to have this because of an irresponsible dog owner. There's a reason I keep my hair over my face. I'm so glad that I have such a loving boyfriend and an amazing son.
@Kamitha, i know you dropped hints about t over time on here but that takes balls to admit that. Thanks for sharing that with us and im happy you got something in your life to make you happy.
@Kamitha, bad dog owners have ruined so many people's lives. I'm glad you felt comfortable to share.
I realize that this is just a meme, but people really need to take care of their dogs. Put your dog on a leash if your yard isn't fenced in. When out in public keep your dog on a leash. If a dog has bitten someone, then that dog need to be put down. There is no place in public for aggressive dogs.
@TheCoolestBean, I totally agree with you. But if I’m walking around my neighborhood my dog is unleashed. He is extremely well trained. Always walks alongside me unless he wants to pee.
@seeUpee, as long as you have the ability to get your dog under control real fvckin quick, and your neighbors understand you keep your dog off its leash, then it's fine. But I've had problems in my neighborhood with the neighbors dogs threatening me, and my family. It got to the point we had to by a gun and animal control knows us by name. I also know someone close to me that was bitten in the face by a dog, so I really take pet ownership to an extreme.
@seeUpee, it's common courtesy to keep your dog leashed. Regardless if they are well trained. For people's sake and their own. All it takes is one squirrel to send them out in front of a vehicle. I was on a trail this weekend and had 2 dogs charge my family, our dog, and me. As the dogs were barking and snapping 2 ft from me their owner was screaming "they are nice dogs". Their dogs were 2 ft away from being put down. It's just safer for everyone involved to keep their dog leashed.
@TheCoolestBean, yeah true I always have my dog leashed, the issue I have is when kids run up out of nowhere to pet him and he thinks its playtime, he doesnt bite he is just mouthy(kind of like a baby) it's like everything has to go in his mouth first and it scares kids when he does it out of nowhere. So I constantly have to be on a lookout because for some reason it is inevitable when I take him on a walk that kids jump outta nowhere to pet him
@TheCoolestBean, I knew something was up when you brought up the issue earlier. Hell no man! The whole fact you had to buy a gun is just bad. Can’t you move? That sh1t ain’t worth it. Nothing pisses me off more than when I see a horse size dog and the owner has no control over it. I used to have issues in my old neighborhood with neighbors dogs too. Nothing life threatening like yours. I moved up to an upper class neighborhood and it has been awesome. Zero problems with anyone, very educated people around. Everyone knows my dog and that he is unleashed when we just walking around with me. He is a good dog and everyone loves him, even the three mailman that rotate around, hell... the fedex guy brought him a treat last week. I take pride on training my dog, American Brittanys strive on discipline.
If my dog bites you, it's because you are in the wrong place.
@Maldohal, not to mention kids pulling ears and tails
@Maldohal, If your dog bites me, its because you're a bad dog owner. Fvck you.
@Kamitha, he would be doing what he was trained for, trespasser.
@Maldohal, Oh, I see. I didn't realize that I was arguing with an entitled asshóle.
@Kamitha, what argument? I just implied my pup was a guard dog meant to protect my family. He does so by chasing off aggressors. There is no reason anyone should be on my property without my consent. There is a lot of property so it's not like someone can wander up and meth I'd bad in this area. So in this weird hypothetical situation you made up from two little comments, where my sweet traind pooch would bite you. It would be because you were in the wrong trespassing. But you just want to tell people off.
Well.... what do you want for a last meal?
@Kamitha And it looks like the comment has been removed but I was responding to whoever stated that any dog that bites a person should be put down. I disagree with that entirely
@Maldohal, I said there is no place for aggressive dogs in public, granted I did say dogs that bite people should be put down. But using context clues and piecing together the statement I gave, you can determine I meant dogs that are unregulated in public areas. If your dog is on your own private property and you have no trespassing signs throughout your property, then your dog is fine. They made a decision to enter private property and now they'll pay for it. But being negligent with your animal and allowing them to bite people anywhere but your property is not acceptable.
@Maldohal, so I rescued a Pomeranian from San Francisco Rocket Dog. The papers said he had a bite history, but we took a chance on him and vowed to try to give him the best life possible. You know to what extent his so called “bite history” was? He would growl and place his mouth over your hand. Not once did he ever ‘bite down’ on our hands, or anyone’s hands. We’ve enjoyed him for 6 years. But some people think we should put him down I guess.
Probably deserved it
