*tries to change the world*
Boomers: "you arrogant millenials think changing the world will be so easy"
*doesn't try to change the world*
Boomer: "you millenials are all so damn lazy"
@robee, meanwhile, Gen Xers are just enjoying the show
Boomers: you can change the world
Our generation: how about we try these ideas.
Boomers: those ideas haven't worked here's a history text book proving it.
Our generation: it just hasn't worked YET. let's try anyway
@JCtheWise, It is sad how true this is honestly.
@owanobi, it's sad that it's both sides too not just communism. I mean I live in Texas and there are people here who have suggested a government like the articles of confederation which several countries have tried and basically devolved into anarchy/corporate control quickly
@owanobi, Because the boomer idea of trickle down economics has worked so well.
@GeraltofSomewhere, it did work for about a decade when boomers still young. Now they hold to those ideas refusing to see their failures. There are no right people in politics. On either side.
All anyone can truly know is that they know nothing
@JCtheWise, that's just every generation
@JCtheWise, trickle down economics worked because we used to tax the super rich at like 70-80% and tax shelters weren't nearly as much of a thing. Look up golden economics era. Realistically it was Reagan that fvcked that up and put students into debt. I dont care that he definitely had dementia but he created a massive economic bubble which is to say unsustainable rapid growth often leads to a rift creating winners and losers if it's not properly controlled or described.
@Runnin with scissors, I know all of that. It worked because people didn't know the work around yet. Every system, given time, will be exploited because people are out for themselves always. Humans are innately selfish.
There will always be a rift between winners and losers because humans always desire more. That is my communism, socialism, capitalism, and libertarianism all eventually fail. Those who climb to the top always want more.
@JCtheWise, thank you for your response. So many have a sincere hate for the word that represents a system while every country has integrated many aspects of those same hated ideals. I'm not a socialist but there are certain fields in the US should be highly regulated (socialistic idea) such as the currently defunded and ineffective EPA and FDA. I had an absolutely necessary back surgery for scoliosis when I was 13 years old. Honestly it killed my dreams of being an athlete representing the US. it wouldve cost $220000 here but my mom resumed teaching 1 year before it and it covered everything. all forms of governing have faults so why not take the good parts of each and at least try to use those.
Sh1t, I hate the way the world is changing right now and im only 23.
It was a warning, not an encouragement
Boomers have fùcked the world up so bad
What are all the bean memes from? I’ve seen so many of them and they seem to be from the same source so someone more knowledgeable plz help this poor uninformed internet citizen.
@Fairy Squad Mother, it's from an animated movie called Killer Bean Forever, you can look it up on YouTube. It has no right being as good as it is.
So much ragdoll physics....
@MrWonka, cool thanks! I’ll check it out
Maybe we should actually try making good changes for once
