Wait that's the Pope
I live in a dangerous town so an uber is almost life saving
@MrGrey89, something something Chiraq
As an Uber driver, I say thanks. Them short rides at up.
@TheOutcastHero71, no they don't. The amount of unpaid miles/time you waste driving to them, and the subsequent increase in the ratio of downtime in between rides to passenger drivetime makes them much more inefficient. The only way those rides appear more efficient is if you only count the time & distance when the passenger is actually in your car, which doesn't give you the full picture.
@AnonymousArsonist, yeah, but I drive in New Orleans. The passengers that take short trips are all concentrated in a small area, so that down time distance isn't far.
@TheOutcastHero71, I suppose that makes sense. I didn't factor in that I live in a mid-tier city that is a bit more spread out, which makes everything a bit less efficient.
...I may also have been projecting my frustrations with this a bit in my previous comment. Sorry if I came across a bit gruff my dude.
@AnonymousArsonist, nah, believe me. I completely understand. I've have 18 minute pickups for 3 minute rides. That really makes me mad. I'm kinda tired of the grind though and trying to get out of it.
