Look I’m here to clear some stuff up, I don’t like basketball, but the dude was insanely good almost as good as Jordan, and he is a stand up dude in most cases, the reason it’s sad and “why dont you talk about the others “ because a lot of us grew up watching Kobe play ball with Shaq, yes we will remember the others but we didn’t have a connection with them for years on end, the whole rape allegation was settled out of court, I live within the state and it was washed over not because he is famous but the lady retracted her statement thus the charges where dropped, you may not like him but to a lot of us we grew up watching this man kill it at basketballs, instead of hating and slanders how about we come together for the love of a sport, just like we did with Chester Bennington from LINKIN Park.
@DrSin, he elevated basketball into a major and multi country phenomenon, here in Southern California he made the game worth going to. The man did wrong, he went to court, they said settled and they both moved on. At least people should be sad for his daughter, no parent should ever have to outlive their kid.
@DrSin, while he was really good, that doesn’t excuse his sh*tty character. I’m sorry but I’m not gonna jump on the bandwagon and pretend that I should feel bad that he died just because he was a good NBA player. Not only was he an asshole to people he was playing against but he was an asshole to his own teammates. Ya know, the same people who’s backs he should cover and care about but only cared about his own ego. And treated everyone else he considered “beneath him” like sh*t. Are we supposed to just forget all of that and pretend that didn’t happen, is that what we’re doing now?? I’d honestly feel more for a homeless man passing away who had nothing, yet was at least humble, kind and had the common decency to treat others with respect.
Your gonna remember where you where when you heard this happened
@megamanx181x, honestly I was working a game and people started asking me if it was true, a coach just broke down crying, a few players sat down put a towel on their head and just say there silently, they didn’t really wanna play that early game
@DrSin, that right there shows the man made an impact
@megamanx181x, dude it was rough trying to stay professional during this moment, a few players girlfriends where hugging them and crying hard
@megamanx181x, Kennedy moment
@Pervy Sage Jiraiya, exactly
@DrSin, hard to be stoic in a moment of suffering
I cried when they aired his last game. Poor kiddos aboard.
“ ...But yes, it’s time for the sledgehammer to come out. The man was a rapist. Deal with it.”-ADisney
