Poor mako...the writer s gave him no love...im big on the makorra ship fan but some of it felt really forced...I still love that ship...the other half of me is all for that korrasami
@super saiyan jesus, no love for now, but now he's got his whole family back together and everything mended with Korra and asami. Over all not half bad for mako
@super saiyan jesus, what I'm behind on they show Korra and asami are dating???
@super saiyan jesus, I read an article by one of the writers. The original plan (by the endo of season 1) was makorra, but they later shifted to have them break up. The plan following this was to grow the friendship of korra and asami. This then evolved in season 3 to them hinting at romantic feelings. They went to Nickelodeon and asked for permission. They were given some room, but not much, hence the holding hands and not a kiss.
I love Korrasami, but one day I will tell my grandchildren how sad I was Makorra didn't happen...
I don't watch the show, but one of my friends told me what happened. Honestly, I'm super proud of Nickelodeon for having an openly homosexual couple on what's considered a kids show, especially given the way America continues to treat homosexuality, or really any nonheterosexual sexuality.
@SatanDuck, being bi, I find it okay. It being avatar, the legend of korra, and that the rule 34 and fanfic is now probably canon, I find it actually disturbing.
@SatanDuck, it wasn't Nick's idea and they almost shot it down. They took the show off of tv so the audience was much smaller that it could have been. I don't think Nick deserves any props, but then again, that's just my opinion
@MegaBattleJesus, I didn't know that. Like I said, I haven't been watching the show, so I just know about them being a couple now.
@SatanDuck, this Is a kids show they don't need to show homosexuality because in my opinion little kids will just want to do that and nor know what it means
@The Tops, Except that they show heterosexual couples all the time on t.v. shows for children and if you feel that kids shouldn't see homosexual couples kissing, they why should they see heterosexual couples kissing? What if they want to go kiss a kid of the opposite genger and not know what it means? Is that okay just because they're straight and that's considered "normal"?
@SatanDuck, no I think no like sexual stuff should be shown but since heterosexuality is "normal" it should be a little more wiggle room on that because kids won't know until later in life if they are homo or hetero
@The Tops, Exactly, so why keep them from seeing that it's okay to like the same sex? A lot of kids are ashamed of who they are because it's not seen, being a nonheterosexual sexuality. Just because heterosexuality is "normal" that doesn't mean it deserves more wiggle room. Part of the job of kids shows is to teach morality and valuable lessons, and by pulling that episode from television it's telling children that homosexuality is not okay.
And it's all because they took it off tv, and thus could do what they pleased.
