This is found on the "ledge of sorrows" (aka lost and found) in my band room.
I have absolutely no musical talent whatsoever, and can't read sheet music, but I think I know what "sob quietly" means. Man, if I keep this up, I'll be composing symphonies in no time!
My friend had tacet for a whole movement of a song once.
@raywar97, DAMMIT, man, I'm an engineer not a musician!!!...soooooooo what exactly does that mean?
@Slayer9200, Ha! XD
Tacet means silent. So for that entire song he didn't play.
@raywar97, oh....well thank you
@Slayer9200, Absolutely. Have a nice engineering life.
@raywar97, oh so drafters are just left out?...*sobs quietly*
@Blackfrost273, Sure are!
@Slayer9200, lament..grievious or sorrow...i had to look it up. And it is castillo...same as abbott and costello? Idk..help!
@raywar97, could've been worst...could have been a rest with a repeat over it
@Pharaoh, I had another friend with a 73 measure extended rest. Take your pick.
@raywar97, Played Peer Gynt Suite on trombone; it's tacet for three movements (about 15 minutes of a 17 minute piece)
@Saxophonium, So basically you were there just for looks.
@raywar97, me too, except it was only myself and my friend, while every other instrument in the band played most of it. So we just sat there for 5 minutes looking like idiots
@raywar97, very common fo brass instrumnts in orchestra
What's better than a rose on a piano?
@Jonathan Quick, tulips on an organ
@Jonathan Quick, ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
@Jonathan Quick, kiss my pancreas
@Jonathan Quick, ?
One time we as clarinetists had to smash the valves of the clarinet for the entire piece... The sound was meant to sound like butterflies!
Justin Bieber's greatest hits!
John cage's 4'33".
That's some next level John Cage type stuff right there!
Who else is a trombonist in the FunnyPics community?
@Mr Paladin Man, I play clarinet and mayonnaise. Does that count?
"This next song is called I am sad, so very very sad"
