Maybe I just woke up too tired but I’m not understanding like half of these “memes” this morning
@Awc123awc, something something rich people suck something something
@Awc123awc, the famous and rich can get tests done without showing symptoms while others need to wait until they're sick and sometimes are rejected for a corona test even of they have symptoms.
@Awc123awc, I think it’s about the number of celebrities who’re popping up going “I’ve tested positive for Coronavirus” but have absolutely zero symptoms and aren’t apparently ill.
It’s almost as if they’re just saying it to get likes/follows/views/whatever it is that ‘influencers’ care about these days.
90% of UK population. Made to go on internet, told we don't know if you have it. Stay indoors for 3 weeks.
Prince Charles and Boris Johnson: tested the same day.
So much for a health service the world envies. It's all stacked toward the rich and famous
@TheMightyImp, To be fair, Boris Johnson is the Prime Minister - he’s both important to running the country and in a position to infect everyone else who runs the country, so it’s reasonable to test him if he shows symptoms.
Charles is the heir to the Crown and in a position to accidentally (or ‘accidentally’ depending on how keen he is the take the throne) kill the Queen if he infects her - again, reasonable to test him.
@Nellybert , yes, the rich, and the famous. Glad you agreed with me :)
@TheMightyImp, I’m pretty sure the PRIME MINISTER got the test because he’s the PRIME MINISTER. Don’t know if you’re aware, but he’s the person elected to run the country, and potentially meets with literally every person involved in running the country. I’m okay with taking precautions to make sure he doesn’t infect them all......
And the Queen dying right now would be a big damper on morale for a very large proportion of the country, so takings temps to keep her alive is probably a good thing.
Now, the Hollywood movie stars who are popping up declaring that they’ve ‘tested positive for Coronavirus’ (despite not apparently being ill, or showing any symptoms) - those I think we can agree are people using their cash and status to their advantage.
@Nellybert , the PRIME MINISTER was actively shaking hands days before he was tested, and he met with the queen and Prince Charles the day before royalty were tested and found positive.
You won't be teaching me anything anytime soon. Rich, famous, preferential treatment. That is all. Why you can't accept that is beyond me.
@TheMightyImp, The Prime Minister is getting preferential treatment because of his job, not his personal wealth.
If you read the final paragraph of my post, you’d see that I agree that celebrities are using money to buy access to tests. I just disagreed on that specific example.
Won't someone think of the celebrities?!
That middle sentence...what?
