The fact that these people exist should be proof enough that people saying gaming makes people violent, misogynistic, ect. are full of it. Any mmo I've played has had no shortage of these benevolent giants who will go out of their way to help you have fun. I have walked away from dozens of these situations where I genuinely feel guilty because it feels like I took advantage of someone. Even though they didn't get anything out of it they did it because they wanted to so I do my best to try to pay it forward when I can. While I still prefer single player I will always love online gaming because of these people.
@Hagasay, there will always be good and bad in everything in this world. Such is life. Cousin, lets go bowling.
@Hagasay, I had Doom, Duke Nukem, C&C, original GTA on windows 95, which would have made me about 9. Have I gotten in violent fist fights? Yes, many times, but I never started it. Have I ever ran up and shot a bunch of people? Never. It's an upper class way of passing the buck for not actually being parents to their kids
@Hagasay, when world of warcraft was still in vanilla back in the day....i actually fell way behind my friends because i loved helping lower level people so much....ran them through dungeons over and over for specific gear and everything.....such a good feeling
@Hagasay, I had a lot of good friends like these on the Xbox... maybe I’m old school but I always stick to something that is fun. Don’t know what happened to a lot of them but little by little they started to not come back online. Some started working third shifts, others got married and had kids. Others moved to a different state for a new career and couldn’t afford things anymore. What ever the reason it might be they keep me going. Life is hard. A lot of ups, a lot of downs. You always rely on the ones you happened to have around you on the downs more than the ups. Either way I reminisce on those days. When halo 3 just came out.... maybe is when I was down the most... either way I’m happy things played out like it did. To all those lost homies I don’t game with anymore I say thank you for been there and helping me out when I needed it the most!
@Hagasay, I love teaching people how to play games. it does no good making someone frustrated and never play again before they can start.
plus it's more fun when I am at a disadvantage and win.
@Hagasay, and then you see Nintendo smash gaming with no servers and character classes making all big class characters super op while nerfing medium class causing people to jump constantly and play big characters that require no skill but will make you win. I guess if the only joy you get is winning not playing a good game then know if you played 1v1 with a big character on a map that wasnt designed like final D where everyone agrees that's a 1v1 map you would suck a fat 12 inch dick and lose probably being 3 stocked but by playing with a big character you're just admiting you're a cheap mofo that is to much of a puss to play one on one with a regular tier character. also I still win about 80% of the time I just wanted to demean bif character players. lol I player with king k kruel who I've never played with and won every game I played. be a puss play with an large character in the worst online ever produced I promise you'll win
@Hagasay, I'm this person and trust me they get plenty out of it, nothing boosts your ego like helping a noob.
@Hagasay, one time on runescape back in 2008 there was this dude who gave me every single non member armor set just because. He was a cool fvcking guy. I’ll never forget dragu45. In the same spirit, last year on old school runescape I saw a level 50 with weak armor so I bought him a dragon armor set cuz I remembered what it was like.
Ok not to be a dick but OP , why did you crop out the rest of the comic ..... including artist name ?
@DrSin, I didn't, this is the only version I have seen. Ijust wanted to share this, I honestly hate when people crop out the artists names.
@DrSin, srgrafo is the artist for anyone interested, I love his artstyle but had to reverse image search this lol.
This is what I do when I try to get my sister to play new games, one example being Borderlands, while I get shot at, I teach her the basics. In CTR, whenever I was doing challenges for the Nitro Grand Prix, I would let her race, with the easy AI, while I was doing my challenges so she could get a handle of the game.
I love these people , I am one of them, and it makes me so happy to help new players!
I bought The Division a few months after it came out (number 1) and had two random players I never met in my life boost me all the way until I was done with the game then we all went around and helped each other get gear. Felt good
I love stuff like this. I recently started playing CS:GO with my younger cousin (who I brought here btw woohoo) and was made very aware that I genuinely suck at the game. However, I have spent a few rounds practicing in secret, lately, and still found it difficult to learn by myself. When other guys who were playing with me found out the reason for my suckage (aka me being a total noob), several dudes from BOTH teams dropped what they were doing to give me a crash course on how to play. They gave me all kinds of tips and pointers as we went along, sticking with me and inviting me to matches for like the next 2 or 3 hours.
TL;DR Some people are just pretty great. They want to share their passion and enjoyment with others. It's genuinely heart-warming.
We all lift together, Tenno.
@SimonPetrikov, Nothing quite like the feeling of finding a low MR player on Earth while I’m farming and demonstrating the kind of stuff you can do later on.
That's me in ESO lol
Me giving away 2mil on osrs to mobile accounts that’ll probably last 2 days
How would you rate your care?
The other person... and then “alt + f4 to save.”
