*watches 1 video about cars racing*
@partypooper101, do you even create downforce?
@partypooper101, this is probably a front wheel drive car. the point is to keep traction on the wheels to not slide in corners. a soft suspension leads to body roll and quick acceleration can shift weight of a car to the back leaving much of your horsepower still on the table. this really could be fixed with stiffer suspension instead but if hes already done that then this is (sadly) the next most effective step.
@onlyspongebobquotes, yes it could do that. However id be extremely surprised if this car made enough power to spin the wheels at just about any speed.
2. There is a reason formula 1 cars and real racing cars don't do this. They use splitters/ Canards to do the same but better.
@onlyspongebobquotes, that is a dodge neon. A FWD with a 4 banger that makes less power than a sewing machine. He doesnt need to worry about sliding at all.
@partypooper101, absolutely. but some do all that aero and still dont have the downforce they want. weaker cars also need LARGER spoilers because they dont have the speed necessary to create drag with a small one.
here is a good example:
@Caine, this guy doesnt for sure. makes me wonder because its a very strange mind that is aware of their fwd but not of their power. id call this rice but rice is functionless and this was clearly an attempt at function
@partypooper101, fate of the furious
@Caine, my 1999 Dohc neon is a 12sec quarter mile car just saying ;)
@Caine, my friend used to have a neon but she flipped it. No clue how but she did.
@onlyspongebobquotes, FWD cars do use spoilers... But still in the back...
@Caine, got a buddy driving a cammed out neon Srt-4 making 500bhp. Still, this is some ricer shjt, splitters are what ya want.
When the trailer gives away the whole movie plot
@Spaceman Sp1ff, FVCKIN SPOILERS
Well technically, since it's front wheel drive it will help if he can balance out the rear
@Hmforwomen, this will do nothing. Ever
@I Love Boost, oh I forgot down force is an imaginary thing that doesn't matter. Silly me.
@Hmforwomen, not saying it is, but but being used improperly can reduce performance. Wonder why race teams don't this if it's so effective
@I Love Boost, I'm not saying it's the best way to do it or that it's "so effective," but like I said, if the rear is balanced then it wouldn't hurt it as much as just this front wing being there
@Hmforwomen, well that what splitters and canards are for. Some spoilers create more drag than downforce.
@I Love Boost, I'm sure if you said canards in front of this owner he would just say bless you lol
@Hmforwomen, lmao "what witch craft are you tryin to preach to me boy? She runs fine and will put a whoopin on your jap scrap."
@I Love Boost, this seems like the person to run srt badges on it and put the angry eye headlight cut outs lol
@Hmforwomen, every. Single. One. Has them.
@I Love Boost, they're just showing how angry they are their car is too American to hang with the civics but too Japanese to hang with the American cars
Puttin a big spoiler on f1 cars or race cars or trackday cars i understand but putting them on your everyday road car just looks rediculas
At least he didn't ruin a good car
That looks like it would he obstructing the driver's vision. My coworker got a ticket for an air freshener obstructing his vision and he just took it down... This person would probably be in a trickier situation.
The years are mixed up on this one
