I recently set up my room for our Vive. I was actually planning to go outside a bit more. That ain't happening now. Well technically, I am outside, but it's a virtual outside, which is much better anyway.
@A pet named Steve, tell me how good it is. I want to take the plunge but that's a lot of money
@A pet named Steve, no mosquitoes 🦟 or wasps - 100 percent better
@18bluecat, find a demo or someone that's willing to let you try theirs. Some people get motion sick and it's best to find that out before you drop a few hundred on a headset.
@18bluecat, I'm having a loooot of fun with it, but like stalker said, find a tech store or mall or something to try it out first. The images are a bit pixelated, but you get used to it. You also need at least 2x2 meter space, I think, though during setup you can choose "standing only" when you don't have room to move around. It's VR in its baby steps though, so if you want to spend big money, wait for the next generation, I'd say. Or, wait for the next generation and then buy the older generation, it'll be cheaper. Out of all vr headsets I have tried, Vive was the best, and PS VR was the worst. Also, the things are so huge, after a while your face really hurts haha. But like I said, I love it.
@A pet named Steve, May I sugest some excellent games quality controlled by me?
@The Flame War, Sure!
@A pet named Steve, My favourite games thus far have been:
-Virtual virtual reality.
-I expect you to die.
-Hot dogs, Horseshoes and Hand grenades.
-Waltz of the wizard.
And this last one is not a VR game but I highly, HIGHLY, recomend playing:
-Return of the Obra Dinn.
@The Flame War, nooo way I'm gonna play duck season, mate. I do have conductor, I think, and will get beat saber soon. Waltz of the wizard is fun. And u didn't know that obra dinner was available in vr. Ranks for the tips!
@A pet named Steve, The return of the obra dinn is not available in VR but it is an excellent game. And the non spoopy parts of duck hunt are super fun. And the spoopy parts made every muscle in my body shiver independently. Do you have any recommendations?
@The Flame War, ah, I didn't read the "not" sorry haha. Well, I like Windlands a lot, but be wary of motion sickness. Job simulator is a must have. And everything that has to do with space. Titans of Space 2 is excellent for discovering the solar system. And there's even some cool mini RPGs, forgotten realms was the name of one of them I think?
@A pet named Steve, thanks for the suggestions.
If you all like VR, check out Boneworks on steam. It's not out yet, but it's going to be an amazing one when it releases this year.
I know he's looking at Jenna Jameson. That's how classic this meme is getting.
