Now now I'd say Gandalf contributed a good 30%, but yeah my boy sam really carried the whole adventure to victory
@jouze, without Gandalf the fellowship would have never formed and the black riders would have nabbed an oblivious frodo in the shire.
@payton manning, but also without Gandalf and his burglar the ring would still be safe under a mountain with gollum.
@jouze, movies yes, books Frodo got a lot more credit
I didnt watch legolas take down whole elephants packed with enemies single handedly or watch mary and pippin recruit hundreds of tree ents to take down isengard or Gandalf take down a balrog and transcend through a millenia just to be called a combined 1% of the team
Don’t you be disrespecting Gandalf, Legolas and Gimli like this
@Shzeah, my biggest gripe with the movie is how much they dump on gimli, they take him from a good important character in the books to the blundering comedic relief and I hate it
@Shzeah, frodo was also less of a betch in the books.
Take out Aragorn and you'd still be at like 85%
@Beggar Mugger, without Aragorn they wouldn't have had the ghost army and saved Gondor allowing them to go to Mordor and distracting Sauron long enough to sneak into Mount Doom to destroy the One Ring.
@Twatasaurusrex, without Sam, sauron would have the ring... actually wait, Shelob would have eaten it...actually wait, the witch king would have gotten in the two towers...wait no, golumn would have stolen it........
@Twatasaurusrex, To be fair that's a big plothole in the movies bc in the books the ghosts arent actually able to kill people they were used to take over ships and bring all the rangers of the north to the battle. If the ghosts were really an immortal army then why tf wouldnt aragorn take them to the black gate and destroy all of sauron's forces.
@Rudolph Schmidt , oh god yes but with pretty much every book made in to a film they miss out and change so much. I always prefer the books but still have a great love for the adaptations. I've never had the opportunity to watch the extended versions it adds something like 3+ hours to the trilogy but I'm curious to see what more they add or is it extended battles etc?
If you told me the hobbits were Queen I wouldn’t ask any questions.
Agreed. If anything, gandalf is 3% and Frodo is -1%
But mister legless had the strongest aim hacks in the game. I mean you him cross mapping wurk scrubs. Gimli was literally a comic releif.
