So I'm sorry to bring this to you on the eve of Christmas, but I could use some anonymous support right now. Earlier tonight my fiancee and I were driving home from work (we're both in retail) when we hit our own dog who had escaped from the yard. Her pelvis was shattered and it'll likely take a plate to fix, which has a $2,500 tag we can't afford. As a result, well... We'll probably be putting her down.
Thing is, she's a registered emotional support animal for my soon-to-be wife, and she's completely devastated - we both are. Cross your fingers if you would (prayers are great too, if you do that sort of thing) and hope the best with us.
Again, sorry to share this on your own evening of merriment, but I just needed to get it off my chest to an unlikely captivated audience.
Happy Holidays, y'all.
@backstageking13, I hope every thing works out. I have sent good wishes your way and I hope they make it to you safe and do their work. If anything does happen, just so you know, it was an accident. We all have them, some more tragic than others, this is just a sad accident. I am sorry you and your fiancee are having to go through this.
@backstageking13, shjt man I'm sorry about that, I hope things get better for you guys
@backstageking13, I'm sorry to hear that happened. I hope that everything works out for the best
@backstageking13, I'll through out a prayer to you. You could try starting a go fund me campaign. Those have saved a lot of people a lot of heart ache.
@backstageking13, i'm sorry for that sucky turn of events, especially over the holidays. Have you asked the people who set you up with the emotional support dog can help you out a little? It may seem like a stretch but it can't hurt to ask, right? I hope all turns out for the best. A kick-ass wedding on the horizon is a good start :)
@backstageking13, I support you anonymously *hides*
@backstageking13, have you though about using a fund raising platform like gofundme? I don't have a lot to offer but I'd be more than happy to give what I can. I'm sure I'm gonna get some flack and down votes for this, but prayers and crossing fingers isn't going to do shjt if you're trying to gain the funds for a surgery.
Regardless of my comment's status, hit me up If you end up setting up some sort of fundraising thing.
@backstageking13, hey man I feel you. Happy holidays and know that no matter what happens she'll always be with you
@backstageking13, no one cares. It's just a dog. Go post this on facebook is you want pity.
@backstageking13, lost a close pet/companion a few years back on christmas eve. Not the same as an emotional support dog but still the same jist. Wish the best to you and good luck.
@backstageking13, Keeping you guys in my happy thoughts.
@backstageking13, Sorry to hear that but if I were you I'd buy a new puppy pronto. That dog is not going to live, and if it does its just going to suffer in chronic pain
@backstageking13, I definitely agreev with Grybo. Try to get a go fund me going. Any little bit helps. Also, a lot of vets have a care-credit system that you could make payments towards. Call your vet and ask bets in the area and ask if they have something like that.
I'm wishing the best for you, your fiance, and your pup. As someone who depends on her own therapy dog on a daily basis, I really feel for you guys. Sending you love!!
@backstageking13, Happy holidays and you guys will be in my prayers, I'm sorry this happened to you.
@backstageking13, Oh no, I'm so sorry. I know how hard this is and I truly hope your relationship doesn't suffer too much from it. Ugh the entire story makes me so sad. I wish I could actually help but you'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us updated. *hug*
@backstageking13, hey you know what? I'm very sorry for this but; that dog is probably better off dead. But quick! Look past the click bait! If you get it to survive it's quality of life will probably be a 3 at best. And that's after it's healthy enough to be a dog again. The 2 years before that will be you taking care of it as it can't move and it's miserable for half of that. It's not great for anyone. Refer to my next comment for the next reason
@backstageking13, I'm so sorry to hear that. I wish the best of luck to you both and try and make the best of the holiday. Maybe talk to the vets and see if you can make a payment plan with them since she is an emotional support animal for your soon to be wife. They might be able to help out. Prayers are sent to both of you and the dog
@backstageking13, things will get better, dude. I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
@backstageking13, Praying for you. I'm sorry this happened.
@backstageking13, ok sorry my phone died. So the next reason is that dogs only live to be like 15 tops. I have trouble when I'm looking for dogs to adopt because I have to live with them all that time and then lose them. I know I'll be back here where I started in not too long. Also you learn to be prepared to live with them and to lose them and replace them with a new friend. So a mix of your dog's quality of life being low and sad, and the necessity of adopting new dogs and moving to them is my point. It's fine to let go and mourn her loss naturally now and let her be at piece. Maybe get your wife a puppy for Valentine's Day? Also congrats on that, and merry Christmas, sorry for your loss and or for your horrible accident. I hope she knows you love her very much
@backstageking13, Give her extra love ;( I love dogs
@backstageking13, set up a GO fund me or set up a payment plan with the vet
My family has encountered situations where we had to spend incredible amounts of money to save our pets' lives and it was tight but my parents figured it out. If she won't recover to a decent quality of life then put her down but otherwise something can generally be worked out for payment.
@backstageking13, your in my prayers friend
@backstageking13, Sorry. I feel your pain. My cat ate string (after 8 years of never having a problem) and needed $4000 worth of surgery last Christmas... we had to take out a "credit care" loan to pay it.
@backstageking13, can we start a funding campaign for you? I'm so sorry about what happened.
@backstageking13, You could try a kickstarter or indiegogo campaign for her surgery! You might be surprised how many people are willing to chip in
@backstageking13, I am more than very sorry for you. I hope all turns out well. I know that it feels horrible but remember that it was an accident. If you can't afford your dog's surgery, I suggest that you open up a kickstsrter or something similar to raise money, many people are willing to help. If you do, tell me, and I will help you out as well. Again, I wish you all the best and hope everything turns out well ♥
@backstageking13, I hope you make it through this prayers love you all merry Christmas hope you can make it through and your fiancée
@backstageking13, Really sorry to hear what's happened. My best wishes go out to you and your fiancee. Whatever happens just be there for each other and remember accidents happen, you don't have to carry guilt around with you. I hope the best for all of you.
@backstageking13, shjt man I'm sorry to hear that I really hope your dog survives I love dogs and it's horrible if they have to be put down but I'm wishing that it'll be ok
@backstageking13, how are you?
