@George Feeny, oh, that part was understood. And I do apologize for not being more specific in my comment. So let me take some time spell out what should have been taken from the context of my comment. You see, the fourth frame indicates that the reader should be well versed is everything that is Jap Crap, thus recognizing the series and pulling humor from the knowledge he/she has about said series. Being part of the vast majority of people who have no time or interest in Jap Crap; it perplexes me that one would assume that this meme would be found universally humorous by all who read it.

@1oftheFew, Imagine how close-minded it would be if someone called all American animation “American idiocy” when there are shows like Rick and Morty alongside shows like Arthur or even movies like Sausage Party vs Disney movies. Anime isn’t a genre it’s a style. If you don’t enjoy Naruto you might like Berserk or Haikyu or Akira. You can’t boil an entire cultures storytelling down to “Jap crap”, it’s ignorant at best and racist at worst. Other counties can tell great stories too. Now, maybe you don’t get invested in animated movies or you find dubs awkward and don’t enjoy/can’t read subtitles for whatever reason (such as blindness or dyslexia, not a knock against your intelligence) but those subjective issues can be applied to any form of media, not just “jap crap”. Sorry for ranting I just get bothered when people boil anime down to a genre when it is an entire style of presentation like American animation or even regular live action movies.

@Cl3v3rN1ckn4me, no offense intended. I was basically in a trolling mood when I made the initial comment, and it appears to be working ;^) I call it jap crap not to be racist but to convey my personal feelings towards it. They day we start masking honesty with political correctness is the day Hitler wins. And the day we don't speak our minds in lue of being socially accepted is the day humanity is ultimately lost.

@1oftheFew, I wasn’t offended. I’m merely trying to point out that your take was close-minded and a little ignorant. You’re allowed to call it jap crap and I’m allowed to explain to you that you’re being reductive of an entire medium of storytelling and opening your mind to new experiences and other cultures could invite new interests into your life. Being honest would be saying “I don’t enjoy anime for personal reasons A, B and C” what you said was “Japanese animation is objectively bad” and then gave no reasons why except for the fact that it is Japanese to begin with. However, I recognize you made a silly comment on a meme so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you do have legitimate subjective reasons to not enjoy anime and you don’t think it’s crap just because the japs made it. You were being snappy and it came across wrong is all. Happens to the best of us.

@Cl3v3rN1ckn4me, to be honest I don’t think he was trolling. You meet a hundred people like that every day. Slap the word anime on something and it’s the most repulsive thing ever. My own sister still makes fun of me for watching shows like death note, or full metal alchemist, which are arguably written similarly to a lot of western media. But “cartoon character has big eyes, means it’s bad dur dur”

@1oftheFew, being ignorant and speaking your mind are two different things. Don't mask your bullying tendencies through being "anti-politically correct". You don't like anime. Cool. No one minds that. You're allowed to like and not like whatever you want. So why being inflammatory to people who do like anime?

@EVILdrPORKCHOP3, how is it any different than treating an individual poorly bc he doesn't hold the same view as you? I can refer to a culter in a derogatory tone I'd have several people get riled up. Had I just personally attacked an individual on here, and I doubt anyone would have taken notice. Double standards. This was an attempt at trolling, and it has been more successful that I had originally imagined.
*Spoilers* Technically JoJo's has a time skip to the heat death of the universe, and then to back to the time of the original beginning of the series.
