The more I learn about dogs, the more I like my dog
I know this sounds weird but thats a nice dog! Whenever i see pictures of old dogs they always look more.....dogish?
@420coolguy69, Probably from the selective breeding that’s been going on
@420coolguy69, working breeds were most common until relatively recently because, much like horses, people who kept dogs needed them for jobs. Breed standards were less important than their ability to perform a task, so you had a few breeds who had to be agile and sturdy.
The more I learn about people the more I need a dog... or cat, I'm not picky.
@The Flame War, cats are generally smarter, but won’t give a fvck if you’re in trouble. Dogs care.
@riidii, actually dogs are both more intellectually capable than cats and they care more, they just have higher impulsivity (hence some dumber behavior). Dogs are smart enough to tell that humans are different creatures than they are, cats simply think we’re big, lazy, good for nothing cats.
Honestly, the choice should come down to how much time you have to dedicate to your pet. Dogs require far more time, attention, and intellectual stimulation via training. Cats simply need you to feed them, change their litterbox (unless they’re outdoor cats), and some mild affection and are therefore far simpler and require way less effort to have.

@robee, you ever see Mark Twain and Albert Einstein at the same time? Checkmate atheists
