@Dephenistrator, my daughter's common core math essentially used this but on paper. Common Core itself is a greatconcept, the problem is how most schools have implemented it.
My daughter is doing math in elementary I didn't do until almost college. I'd say that's progress and thanks to her schools who did common core correctly.
@Dephenistrator, common core is a set of standards. That's all it is. Teaching methods is all up to the school and teachers, common core doesn't dictate that at all.
