I prefer measuring by Bald Eagles, but horses work fine too
I'm cool with most metric measurements.
Except Celcius. F*ck Celcius.
I'm talking specifically for weather reports.
0 degrees in Celsius is the freezing point of water. Which is cool if I am water. I am not water.
100 degrees is not attainable via weather patterns.
0 degrees in Fahrenheit is really friggin cold, 100 degrees is really friggin hot. Both temps can be attained on Earth through natural weather patterns.
Fahrenheit is much more useful as a weather scale for laymen because it makes sense on a 0-100 scale.
Celsius is for chemistry. Fahrenheit is for people.
In conclusion, f*ck Celcius.
(P.S. Also f*ck Kelvin. I'm tryna see if it's a good day to barbecue, not monitor deep space conditions.)
@LookOutASni, well when its -40°C here in Canada its also -40°F so therefore there is no difference and we are all cold.
Been to a few mexican resturants, sayin i have to stay 6 pies apart, not sure if apple or cherry.
Never forget that the official hunting rules in Texas state that people under 12 have to stay within shouting distance of their guardians try and figure that one out.
My favorite American measurements are using football fields and Olympic swimming pools to describe large things
@TriangleTesticles, As an American, whenever someone says something fills an olympic swimming pool, I understand the size less than if they used metric instead
Then again, there are countries that use the metric system, and there are countries that have been to the moon and Mars.
@big freedom, All the measurements NASA used for their calculations were in metric...
@LookOutASni, and what country is NASA headquartered in?
@Sexy Homunculus, It is approximately 88 kilometers outside of Orlando, Florida, USA
@LookOutASni, USA, nuff said.
Btw the headquarters are actually in Washington D.C.
@Sexy Homunculus, K. But all American scientists use metric tho.
@LookOutASni, K. Still American tho.
@Sexy Homunculus, Americans who used metric tho
@LookOutASni, yes although they live and work in a country that doesn't use the metric system in everyday life
@Sexy Homunculus, Yeah for "live". But their "work" is in metric.
@Sexy Homunculus, Yeah.
Your mom gay.
@LookOutASni, well yea that's cause I got two moms
@Sexy Homunculus, thus the name?
Looks like Can yew knot, JoJoS and Pryz would rather be downvote trolls than attempt to provide a rebuttal
@LookOutASni, shush. That wasn’t my point. We as a country do not use the metric system. We went to the moon.
@big freedom, which were done in metric, also not like at the moment those are even close to the top of human achievement.
So many problems to fix on earth before really trying to venture out into the universe.
As an A-murican I hate when tools use anything but the metric system to measure anything. Except for measuring tape. I like that in inches and feet.
Horses? We use Eagles!
@Nurse Joy, damb straight
Metric (Base 10) are garbage measurements for day to day life. At least the imperial system uses products and factors of 12 to make dividing and multiplying easier.
