real life hero?
*pulls out guitar*
I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend 🎶
@Bow To Your Senpai, You could cut ties with all the lies,
That you’ve been livin’ in.
@Kamitha, And if you do not want to see me again, I would understand.
I would understand
Why is it that even when you reach out some people just go "oh no you're fineee you just need to get laid" but when you go and try to kill yourself they suddenly care.
@Alastair, no one wants to be responsible, other than that it’s a whole lot of apathy
@Nosferatu Zodd, also, unpopular opinion, but I feel as though part of it is on the end of not reaching out to the right people, and a tiny bit of not noticing/ignoring the help they try, cuz I know when I was going through a rough time it definitely felt like no one cared about me and no one tried to help me, but I found out later that I pretty much just rejected most help
@Alastair, actions beget results? Idk people are stupid.
@Alastair, some people can’t tell the difference between a cry for attention and a cry for help because they’re so inundated with attention seeking people.
Plus what @Nosferatu Zodd said about responsibility.
@LoZ Fanatic, also sometimes it's not knowing effective ways of asking for help or even just fully realizing you need help. Of course it takes the secomd party to see that someone is asking for help and something needs to be done. Mental health is complicated. But good therapy can go a long way. I would know
@LoZ Fanatic, id agree with that. My last ex i tried to help a lot. Suggested therapy and a ton of other things. She ignored me.
You gave me not-death, I don't want that I want death
Doesn’t pay to help people anymore
Ok people. If someone truly wants to die, let them. I'm not being mean but saving them and them continuing to be miserable all their lives is not going to help.
So, I'll be starting college in the fall, August 18th is my first class. Any advice?
@CallMeDisappointment, don’t kill yourself
@Cabbage Salesman, Bruh if I haven't done it by now I ain't gonna do it.
@CallMeDisappointment, don't buy anything from the bookstore... It's a rip-off, and don't buy a textbook unless you actually need it, from junior year through grad school I typically only had to buy one or two textbooks a semester.
Also join clubs, or an intramural team. I was an RA for awhile before I got an internship and was on the club swim team and met a lot of my friends through that, and my internship rather than class.
Also internships are the best thing you can do, look into them before fall of junior year, they really pay off my starting salary in the fall is 72k because I have a ton of experience and awards through internships at GE and Goldman
@I floop the pig, Awesome! Thanks. I'm going into Forensic Psychology, and I'm hoping to do internships. I'm also joining a club which is required to do intramural sports so I'm excited for it.
@CallMeDisappointment, cool! Good luck with that, and it sounds like you're on a good path! Just make sure you leave some time for yourself and you'll have a blast
