@Sam da ram, you could start with ground zeroes and be alright, then play mgs 4 and you'll be all set for five without experiencing all of the dated gameplay
@Sam da ram, play them in the order they were released. If you try to play it in chronological order it can be strange switching games because of the updates in technology. The classic Metal Gears are a must play.
@Sam da ram, if you want some sort of order with minimal confusion, 3,1,2 and then go in order from there, just don't worry when you kill someone and fail the mission for "time paradox", it'll make sense in the end
Ugh the Mgs everywhere. I got the HD version for the vita and it's painful cause there's no explanation of the controls and it doesn't tell you how to do half the most important things in the game
@Sam da ram deffinitely metal gear solid 1 since the series had an amazing story that should be experienced how the creators expected it to be experienced.
