Forgot? I just never got any at all. No allowance either.
@Dephenistrator, you too eh?
@Dephenistrator, yup dat poor people life
@Redj350Z, Man fvck you , we aint poor, we just don't spend money. At all. On anything.
@Dephenistrator, that’s why my little brothers just straight up jacked $150 worth of shît from their book fair. Plotted it out and everything. Memorized patterns, planned distractions. They’ve come a long way.
@Berntley, it starts at the book fair...
@Berntley, I used to steal shjt all the time too
@Autismo, I went more for money. It was not safe to leave cash lying around when I was near. I actually coached my mom a bit on how to get my little brothers to stop.
@megamanx181x, I'm in charge of these at my kids school. I love it.
@KittyVonClaude, these are still taking place today??? Bc I used to love them as a kid and it makes me happy to know kids today are not completely hopeless
@notcrazy, definitely! We have a fall and a spring one! I get to pick the theme and decorate for it, set up all the cases, set up fun giveaways! Also, for the kids that don't have enough money to buy a book...I buy a book $5 or less for them, out of my own pocket. It only ends up being around $250 at the end of the fair, but worth it..the kids are always so very happy to be able to get something and give me the BEST hugs ever. ♥️
I used to walk into book fairs and walk around as if I had money and could buy any book, but would soon walk out when the teachers would ask if I wanted to buy something or needed help. I would walk my poor asś out and make things even more awkward.
I never told them. I told the teachers that as well. Didn’t care for reading when I was younger. Love it now
I used to love the book fairs in elementary school.
The one time in my life I ever committed a crime was when I stole Rome Total War Gold Edition from my 7th grade middle school book sale. Best choice of my life.
@sticky, I too stole a book from a school fair once. My mom found it and started interrogating me about where I got the money and I lied saying a friend gave it to me. I had never felt so guilty before
When I was young, my family was pretty poor, so I never got money for them, I did steal small stuff though
Book fairs were lit...
I miss these. It was my favorite day in middle school because my school was sh!t. One time I begged my mom to come in while the fair was going on and I think we spend like $70 😂 I love books and I love reading. One day I want to have a room with floor to ceiling shelves of books.
That was me... every year. I was poor. 😔
Anyone else get the "how to draw dragon ball z characters" book?
Wait till bring your dad to work day.
You mean when you ask her for some cash and she asks you what you did with the 10$ she gave you 3 days after you were born
