Well can I play with your titties during this process?
@Ray213, cause that’s really the only medicine I’ll need
@Ray213, that and Lithium...
I mean….without the mind altering drugs I’d be trying to kill myself…sooooo…
@Nurse Joy, no you'd have either succeeded or realized society was too good at stopping it and gave up till you eventually snapped and they finally caught you with your 12th victim halfway though shoveling up your backyard for "that new patio..."
@Nurse Joy, nah I’ve got the cure for that. You go get a pupper and everytime you feel sad lay on the ground and play with him. Boom sadness gone
@BigJohnson86, but what happens when the pupper dies? Do I just get a new pupper?
@Nurse Joy, yes. I’ll never not be ready to have my heart broken again
You could see a psychologist instead of a psychiatrist, they don’t prescribed medicine
@megamanx181x, you could go see a hooker. Probably cheaper at this point, but you may still need medicine after
@BigJohnson86, maybe a high class on that gets tested regularly
My cousin who is a therapist told me that you have to be just as mentally ill to become one.
@DiSoNeGuY, that exactly why im school for it...
@LowKeyImGay, game recognize game, right?
Mind altering can be a good thing if your mind was unhealthy. I am happy with my meds
aw yea, diagnose me with more ADHD baby, gimmie that Adderal!
Calling it totally normal doesn't make it any better to deal with. Also, many don't prescribe drugs. Sometimes it's just nice to be able to talk it out it with someone
@bojangles8u, that’s why we invented strip clubs
That's why there are specific psychologist that deal with men's issues.
Also psychologists are like shoes; if you dont like one you initially got, go to another
Also Im gonna bankrupt you in the process. Btw this consultation session cost 1200 dollars - Litterally every Psychologist.
That is not a normal reaction. You’ve been unknowingly brainwashed by your peers to believe things are horrible and hopeless in a time when the world is actually more prosperous than ever.
There are people who need serious help. Chances are, you are not one of them.
By doing research on how to work hard and how to protect yourself and your family through health and finances, you can be ok, too.
Take it from someone who needs medication because of chemical imbalances in the brain, you aren’t the problem, and the world isn’t horrible. The society around you has just made you believe it is by over-dramatizing everything. It all ok.
What an unbelievably sh!tty take on mental health issues and therapy
@Tazbrum, nah I say shjt like this all the time to my sister. But I’ll still drive her to therapy. She has bad coping mechanisms. People with good coping mechanisms think like this, but it doesn’t mean we can’t see that people need help. Everyone’s fvcked up to some degree but it’s your ability to process and deal with it that determines if you need a head doctor or not.
@BigJohnson86, The problem with this thought process is that it could be interpreted as treating mental illness as nothing more than exaggeration.
I can understand how you can have a mental breakdown as just built up stress. However, if you treat learning disabilities and serious psychological disorders like BPD, schizophrenia, and OCD as a lack of coping mechanism or somebody just crazy it can lead to serious issues.
When I was 8 I had started having trouble focusing on certain things, worrying a everything going wrong constantly, and had had suicidal thoughts, I was diagnosed with ADD, chronic depression, and anxiety. This shjt has followed me throughout my life. If my parents had dismissed this and just punished me for not paying attention or had just done nothing, I would have never even gotten my high school diploma.
Even somebody that has good coping mechanisms can snap at some point. Nothing worth calling a mental illness can be easily handled with just some coping mechanisms.
“I feel fantastic….” -Jonathan Coulton
It's a normal reaction to thinking about it all the time/scrolling through social media on loop reading about how fuked it is. So first step is, stop taking every problem in society onto your mental health. Yes some thigs affect you more directly, but I'm just saying, we force ourselves to face it constantly and that isn't healthy
I’m about to go to a guy soon to see what drugs I need. This post scares me.
Why did I read "Your totally normal ERECTION?"
Well, my life was already ruined by the plethora of mind-altering chemicals professionals like this had me on growing up, so why not?
Actually, the big why not is that I can’t even get in to see a psychiatrist as an adult.
@I Are Lebo, because you live under the Canadian health care system, as I’ve easily been to many psychiatrists in America by paying money.
Edit: also, sorry to hear that, man. I actually had the opposite. Needed the help but my mother saw the overdiagnosing as a problem.
I got diagnosed with cool guy syndrome and now I take Adderall
