That's actually really badass, maybe I should make fun of New Jersey less..
@Tiny Tina, that thought may have been legit proper, but then you remember "Joy-see" still houses the entire cast of Jersey Shore and the real Two-face, Chris Christie. You may carry on making fun of joy-see...
@City87, also remember that we kicked those stupid jersey shore people clean out of our state
@City87, on the other hand, everything else could be perfect and new jersey would still suck because OH MY GOD THE DRIVERS IN NEW JERSEY
@MCPO S117, but did they die though? (Cool kids club points if you remember this reference)
@MCPO S117, my BNCOC was at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland and I made the trip in my rental up to new yauk, though I am from Texas, never have I wanted to run so many people off the road before, outside of Iraq and Afghanland. Also, all those toll roads...
@MCPO S117, always check the plate, I've been playing a game for years that when I'm cut off or someone does something stupid, I check their plate. 9 out of 10 times it's PA.
@City87, ACTUALLY, I think only one of the Jersey Shore members was from Jersey. Secondly, as someone from Jersey, NO ONE PRONOUNCES IT AS "JOY-SEE" UNLESS WE ARE MAKING FUN OF HOW PEOPLE THINK WE SAY IT.
@City87, As someone from New Jerset, I will say north and south jersey are VERY different and almost all of jersey stereotypes are based on the northern half... The southern half has the extremely accurate stereotype of everyone being rich, dumb, and very b*txhy (I am from the south side, but have been to both)
@zombiehunter0802, I pronounce it as such because on my previous deployment, I had an awesome Soldier from Jersey and he found out I am Irish, he would pronounce me as Mc and I would call him guap or wap. (However that is spelt) He would pronounce it as such and I say it to mess with him. Nothing bad about any culture and ethnicity, except for the jersey shore and their Idiocracy.
@LoZ Fanatic, I concur. Socially and psychologically, I can relate to your description because I was raised mostly in South Germany and there are various ways where being polite is mandatory and the other half more relaxed, or liberal if you will. It is the same for every culture and/or ethnicity. I learned in Alaska at a bar that you are never to refer to the locals as Eskimos because they are actually Inuits, but the minute an Inuit generalizes me, it is ok for him to call me a "round-eye." Hippocratic at its finest.
@David Tennants hair, I agree. I can relate due to the fact that every person outside of Texas believes that we all ride horses to work, have our own farm, and have the Texas state flower represented in the form of a tumbleweed.
He followed it up with "don't worry about it!" And "I'm walkin' over here!"
@ObsceneGestureAlert, I'm from New Jersey, and I can confirm that I'm walkin' over here.
@ObsceneGestureAlert, don't forget "You think you're better than me?!"
New Jersey. What a beautiful, weird, aweful, lovely, place. Glad to call it home
I'm from New Jersey 😐
As someone who was born in NJ I can confirm this is true
The worst thing in New Jersey is driving... YOU LIVE, YOU DIE, PARK, REPEAT.
@4Chan Ambassador , it's not driving, it's just waiting in traffic, or waiting for road construction to get done. I can confirm
@I Broke Benjamin, you from south jersey also?
@LoZ Fanatic, north jersey. We're closer to nyc and we have more malls. It took me 40 minutes to drive a half mile last holiday shopping season.
@I Broke Benjamin, Traffic is horrendous down here, since we are so close to Philly...
@LoZ Fanatic, yeah, you should try living 20 miles from the biggest city in the country. It's fun, I promise.
@I Broke Benjamin, I feel your pain. I live the next town over from the GWB entrance in jersey. Traffic sucks when I have to drive through there to get to school.
@David Tennants hair, oh you have it even worse than me. Wow. I live on a road that runs parallel to route 23 right next to a mall so this time of year the traffic could turn "ho, ho, ho!" Into "the night Santa went crazy"
@I Broke Benjamin, ouch. Yeah this time of year must really suck for your area
Being from New Jersey, nice people make me suspicious 😒
Heard the same thing where I'm from.
Also sorry for your loss but what a great what to remember him
Happens in Philadelphia all the time
Sounds like something someone from the south would say
*cough* Mafia member *cough*
As someone from New Jersey I can confirm we do this.
@Funnypics Toilet, HUG ME BROTHAA!!!
Already heard of this on Weekly Weird News
Man I'm blab I don't live in jersey
