If you did all of these things, you would likely find yourself far less depressed than before -- if at all. The first and most important step to having a happy life starts with you. Depression is not something we choose to have, but it is something we may choose to handle. If you are depressed, make a list of things you'd like to see improve and work to make those changes. I promise you will not be disappointed. I would never wish depression upon anyone -- instead I wish you the best in dealing with it.
@Self Stimulation, also be around people, and do things that make you happy. And if you ever get a severe depresion attack listen to some happy and vibrant songs and try to get some sugar to raise your endorfin level
@JC13, And exercise! Even if it’s just walking around the block once a day, it’ll help dump endorphins into your body that’ll do all kinds of nifty things. Also, if the depression is long lasting and isn’t lifting, talk to a doc about medication. It helps. Remember, you’re not alone.
@Self Stimulation, Of course that's all great in theory (which is why they were planning on doing all that stuff in the comic) but when you have severe depression you can plan to do stuff and then not be able to when the actual time comes because you feel so shjtty... "Depression: Shjts fvcked"
@Self Stimulation, that's all well and good. But when you're so depressed that you aren't even motivated to get out of bed in the morning to eat or pee, all that shjt looks like a giant a33 mountain that is too daunting to even consider doing.
@Bones Of An Angel, @Blasphemy is Fun, Everyone experiences depression differently, and I went through my own valley a few years ago. I completely understand the sentiment of being unmotivated to do anything. At some point, you just have to try and capture small victories. Exercise is a great one because of the serotonin release you earn by working out. Slow progression and success will eventually "trick" you out of a bad spell. It has been 2 years and my mind has not fallen back on me. Fake it 'till you make it. Better years are ahead of you if you walk in that direction, starting with baby steps.
Been out is school so long I thought gpa was grandpa not grade point average. Which makes the post extremely confusing
@Blargetha, I think it makes sense with grandpa.
What does “you thought like sh8t boy” mean? How does one think like sh*t?
I read “raise my gpa” as “raise my grandpa”, and thought this took a real and obscure voodoo turn.
