California, no question. Makes me happy to see so many others here agree.
@MrJojo, I’m from California and I don’t hate any States, such a childish thing to resort on disagreements.
@megamanx181x, outright violation of the constitutionally protected rights of the people is more than just a "disagreement" if you ask me. That, and the gross overpopulated cities and high cost of living leave a lot to be desired. At least the weather's nice, I guess.
@MrJojo, and yet it goes unchallenged! The Supreme Court does not come to question it because no one complains it is a violation cause everyone is content with the way things are. No one has placed it on a ballot to be voted cause no one is crazy enough to make an argument that constitution is being violated because it isn’t. If you don’t like then we do what all normal people do to why negative situation we get away from it to somewhere that makes us feel better. Ironically the more people leave the more others come in with income to live here so something must be going ok despite all the bitching and moaning of what we are. Look man chill out, worry about yourself and if you happen to live in an area that’s more in line with your way of life kudos. If not and your stuck here I’m sorry for your pain and I hope you can get out to the real America ASAP. But this pettiness that everyone does in general to any state is immature, get over it.
@megamanx181x, my concern is moreso the potential influence CA has at the federal level with some of their ideology, than the state politics themselves (which I know many who live in CA disagree with, as evident by over a million "high capacity" magazines being imported to CA during that few day period it was legal a month or two back). This great country was founded on the principle of freedom, thrived on freedom and capitalism, and today is the most influential, powerful, and free country in the world because of it.
@MrJojo, really? Don’t give me this crap about capitalism and freedom, what the founding fathers came up then vs now is astronomically different in terms of culture, mentality, rights, and most critically the times. You can buy a handgun, shotgun, rifle with enough efficiency to defend your home the only thing is you want more and more to make yourself feel secure in ever growing insecure world. The invisible hand to guide the economy with no over sight just proves people abuse the system time and time again in which we agree ourselves over trusting the banks. Ranked #5 in world economy and #4 in state economy and #19 out of 50 overall I think the state knows what it’s doing. Lastly you haven’t given me one concrete example of what you are so strictly deprived and robbed of that it’s a true cry of the ideals of United States. For all of our over liberal stereo types in a giant mixed pot of races and backgrounds I think we’re doing ok.
@megamanx181x, I'm not going to go digging into this much further simply because I need to go to sleep for work tomorrow, and I don't really care anymore since we're both obviously pretty stone set in where we stand. I'm sorry if you took what I said about CA as a personal attack on yourself, but I stand firm in my belief that they, as well as some other states/jurisdictions blatantly violate the natural and constitionally protected rights of the people; and that is a path I do not like looking down, especially if that were to spread to the federal level. That's where I stand, and where I will leave it. Do with that as you will.
@MrJojo, I’ll stay here where it has and will continue to be an ok state to live in cause it works for how it is. Just as it works for wherever you decide to live it to call you place home. I’ll just tell you this: I miss the days before the internet where we didn’t have to find a 100 things to criticize ourselves as country men over. I miss the days where we genuinely didn’t give a shvt about each other until a tragedy happened just we pretended to care enough to tolerate each other till we went back to our regular lives. I genuinely wish we all could shut the fvck up and be left alone in our own states to do what we think is right in our neighborhoods and not hear from someone out of state or even speak of them. The real divided states is what I Long for.
That's funny but where is California
@AndorraBall, it’s banned from participating to give other states a fighting chance
@AndorraBall, I’m all for our right to own guns but you’re really gonna say that a state that’s literally taking away a woman’s right to her body is worse than a state that’s taken away our guns? These comments have made me sad for our community
@fishlish, I never said anything about guns. California as a state has too large of a pop with 17 electoral votes than the next highest state. Due to the winner takes all nature of the EC it's very easy to sweep all 55 without regard for other areas that have practically lost a voice. Although that's just one issue, cumulatively I dislike California more than Alabama. On the abortion issue however I hope Roe v. Wade is upheld ,so the first trimester is protected.
California by a long shot Tyler.
It’s almost like none of you consider New Jersey a state
@killer memestar, does anyone?
Hey we might be crazy and a little dysfunctional but I don't think Florida is HATED.....right guys?
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, I am a Canadian but you are alright in my book, Florida. Now, let’s get your djck out of that ceiling fan.
@SirLordKraftDinner, and into a alligator, amiright?
The worst part of this is the optics on either side. But the current augmentation from the left is sounding more pro abortion and less pro choice. I personally it should be state issue, but I would rather people be responsible instead of killing babies.
What's wrong with Florida? No state income tax, no state property tax. Doesn't seem so bad to me
Can I ask why people hate California so much? I've been a few times and it seems like a decent state to me so I don't know why people, on this app in particular, hate it so much.
@Zigz, 1. The cost of living is astronomical in comparison to other States.
2. The major cities are filled with poverty and overcrowding.
3. The State and city governing bodies pass unconstitutional laws, as well as laws that step on land and business owners.
@Zigz, not that this is some definitive list but US News ranked Florida 13th, California 19th, and Alabama 49th in their recent “best states” list. My guess would be that the hate comes from Cali being left-leaning and this being a right-leaning community.
@FlyingLegHair, 1. Cost of living is high but doesn’t seem like a logical reason to hate it. It sucks but we all can all be adults and leave. 2. Lived in Los angles my whole life and I don’t see over crowding an issue, the homeless problem is become more aware then ever before but we are not fighting homeless people on every corner of the street. 3. Unconstitutional yet no higher form of government intervenes to stop this because maybe it doesn’t...? Strict laws yes, but I think people throw that word around a lot lately as a gut reaction to anything they don’t like in terms of laws.
@megamanx181x, 1. The high cost of living compared to the horrific quality of life is a valid reason. 2. Los Angeles is not the whole of California, hate to tell you. 3. The state calls itself a “sanctuary” state and prevents the federal gov from enforcing the US immigration laws
Is Florida really that hated?
I think you guys are all forgetting...
I'm from California and I nominate California
