Welcome to the first episode of the funny pic's Darwin awards! I'm your host, Rumble! Today we have...
@Rumble, Today we have The couple that biked though ISIS territory to prove humans are kind and got killed VS The vegan that climbed Mt. Everest to prove vegans aren't weak and dies
@DarkLordMrMeowmers, in a stunning turn of events, both contestants win with a score higher than the other!
@Empshok, I’ve still yet to hear a better story than the three award winners who played Russian Roulette with a landmine.
There is no evidence Austin and Geoghegan were aware of any terrorist threat in Tajikistan, or that they travelled through that region particularly in order to vindicate their belief in human kindness. There is ample evidence that their trip was motivated by no more than a desire for adventure and life experience.
@Zorb, which makes me sad. Visiting new areas to experience culture, then being killed by assholes
@Zorb, they had said that they were happy with the kindness that was shown, but of course articles like to exaggerate. Also DHS said that Tajikstan was a low risk area. Anything for the clicks.
I read their story, basically 95% of the people they encountered were kind, except those ass clowns from ISIS.
@Pervy Sage Jiraiya, I mean i know that there are nice people everywhere, but why even go into an area that you know would hold hostile people just to prove a point like that?
@Gerbosou, the story I read, didn't mention anything about wanting to prove people are kind
@Pervy Sage Jiraiya, oh well shït...
@Pervy Sage Jiraiya, yes, that’s probably true. But keep in mind the context. 5% of a billion people is 50 MILLION PEOPLE.
@big freedom, and they make up 100K Ass Clowns of the world.
First of all they were just stupid liberals traipsing around the middle east. They didnt set off to show the world everyone is inherently good. As far as ive heard. but they probably believed that everyone is inherently good and in the poor oppressed muslims in the middle east and the evil west. Probably up and past the point the girl was taken and raped in front of her boyfriend for probably days. Then they probably killed them in an extremely painful way. And past all of that they still probably justified it in their head as the poor muslims just fighting against the evil west.
@BlazingBowman, They were ran over by a car which also killed 2 other people in the incident. The fûck?
@TheBigJ, sounds familiar. Been awhile since ive brushed up on the story.
@TheBigJ, he just needed an excuse to make it about stupid liberals and women getting raped by brown men. What’d you expect, someone to actually know what they’re talking about before going on a racially charged tirade on this app?
Well..... what did you learn?
@megamanx181x, *stewie, now holding both the bat and the baseball
Millennials? Were they 18 in that picture? They look older
@TheMightyImp, idk how old this article is, but 18 year olds aren't technically millennials anymore. The oldest millennials are around 33
Actually they traveled really far and encountered nothing but kindness and generosity, it wasn't until they were passing through territory that previously was occupied by ISIS. A patrol was driving around when they saw these people on bikes and shot them dead. + everyone else that was riding bikes with them.
Or just that bicyclists are universally hated
Which reporter is covering me? This just in. Millenial sits in bedroom and reads about idiots in the world
