Am I missing something?
@North, as if chocolate had meat in the first place. Idk I tried
@North, i think its that chocolate is plant based to begin with? Or its just for us to point and laugh as we eat our triple stack burgers from In n Out
@RMB, it's the milk
@WelI Obviously, this. Vegans won’t consume anything derived from an animal. Even if getting it doesn’t harm the animal.
Jokes on them though, lot of veggies are fertilized with animal manure. They’re still technically eating something derived from an animal
@Cloverleaf, suck turds, vegans!
@Cloverleaf, It's not about the source. It's about the ways that it's attained. Manure is fine.
@North, they pride themselves on not eating those products and then they eat faux versions of it acting like its better? Idk. Just throwing cheese at the wall to see if it sticks
@North, vegan/vegetarian stuff used to taste so bad, now a days, it's not too bad
@Cloverleaf, dont forget the mass-production tractors killing innocent animals in the fields as it harvests the veggies
On an unrelated note...
BBQ Bacon wrapped Pineapple Chicken skewers...
Cut chicken breasts into cubes (1 inch thick or less) and soak in pineapple juice for a few hours.
Wrap chicken cubes in half strips of bacon and alternate chicken & pineapple on wooden skewers.
Grill on medium heat and baste thoroughly with bbq sauce while grilling, and take care not to char the chicken. (Recommend sweet baby ray's)
Chicken has already been partially cooked by acid in pineapple juice, so the skewers are done cooking when the bacon is cooked.
These are simple and easy to cook. The hardest part is the skewering.
@AGreasedMonkey, sorry everyone for the long post, but I feel it's best to combat imitation food with real food, and this is one of my family's favorites.
*cuts into a steak*
That have way more calories than the original.
@ImAWhoreForThor, and cost way more to buy and produce.
@Jaune Arc, So?
@Jdrawer, Hey if you can afford to change your entire diet based off some petty notion of morality then be my guest. Most normal people cant afford to do that, and having rich snobs brag about how they can afford stuff has never really gone down well. Ever hear of Marie Antoinette? Kinda like that.
Its funny that a lot of Vegans spout how much better they are because they dont eat meat and yet dont realize that their specialty foods cost more overall in both production and labor then normal food which means in the end whatever "good" they might have achieved with their expensive lifestyle is reduced back to zero.
Not that i expect vegans to understand the finer nuances of global economics. After all, most vegans suffer from brain degradation due to a loss of B-12 which can only be found in animal base products. But thats a story for another time.
@LaDarkProphet, Bro, just let them eat grass. Supply and demand dictates that them eating grass keeps the price of meat lower for the rest of us. So, let them eat their shjtty imitation meat, and smile knowing they're sacrifice does little more than save you money.
@AGreasedMonkey, O im not faulting that at all mate. I love vegans. Their moral grandstanding makes my meat all the more flavorful. Plus the look on their face as i describe, in detail, how to make and prep fresh rabbit stew, never fails to make my day better ^-^
@LaDarkProphet, Fresh rabbit stew sounds amazing.
@AGreasedMonkey, Its bomb man. So good. Finger licking good. Like, lick the pot.
Regardless of whether you're vegan or not, theres nothing funny here
To be fair to vegans, as someone who is allergic to dairy, vegan products have been a life saver. No one would have invented it if vegans hadn't produced the market for it.
What’s this Tumblr a$$ bullshjt doing in my funnypics.
What is being said here is that the rising popularity of said lifestyle has caused more companies to produce healthier options which are recognized and carried by grocery chains.
@Mook, but where is the funny?
@JoeNES, I think it's pretty funny if you can relate to it as a vegan or vegetarian. Unfortunately though, that population is pretty small as is. And also from what I've seen, our funny pics community has some pretty negative feelings towards that lifestyle and the people who identify with it.
@I Hid Your Remote, i think its more the vocal minority of vegans who act like their choices make them better than others have turned a lot of otherwise uninterested people off to the idea
