So, I have a story that kinda relates to this. I was in my Ecology class and the professor put on a video about animals in the alpine tundra and one of them is called the pika. I always thought pikachu was based off of a mouse, and it kinda is, but the name is from an entirely different animal. Also, pikas are adorable, especially as babies.
