Excse me, waiter! there's politics in my funny.
How fvcking long was this in uncut?
@RedRussia4, at least a year from the looks if it. I didn't even notice the dates until I read your comment.
OH! The HORRIBLE HORRIBLE ANVIL OF IRONY! *falling anvil crushes /r/The_Donald*
@liberachi , Exactly how the internet.
@PBnJ, give them suckas statehood.
@mas2de, let them pay taxes, and let us clean up their crime. That way it'll be a great vacation spot.
@ThePandaPool , Do they not pay Federal taxes or any taxes to us? Seems like they would.
Looked it up and Puerto Ricans definitely pay Federal taxes to the US, just not all the same or the same way.
Would definitely be a boon for PR if they did become a state. And might be easier for us to remember that they are our people.
I don't understand the nuances behind giving a region statehood in the US (it's not like I was around when Hawaii was added in) nor PR's past and why they're not, but the arguments against PR becoming a US state because we'd have to add a star on the flag or other similar arguments are void and idiotic and purely laziness based.
I'm down for Puerto Rico to be a vacation destination. Except in typhoon and hurricane season. Florida man won't be bothered by that though.
@mas2de, their govt is corrupt as fvck at the local level and we would be able to correct a lot of that. I know our govt has corruption, but they have it wayyy worse unfortunately. It would most likely help them with disaster relief and crime control too.
@ThePandaPool , that sounds like they need more FREEDOMS 🇺🇲🇺🇸🇺🇲🇺🇸
@ThePandaPool , is that how it works? Gotta say i dont know much about our relationship with Puerto rico.
@BlazingBowman, I'm not as well read as I should be. I work with a lot of Puerto Rican people that were born there, and this kind of stuff i got from them for the most part.
Ha ha ha.. or something
I'm not surprised, but these people are still utter geniuses compared to /r/politics and /r/AgainstHateSubreddits.
Reddit's basically cancer all around these days.
@Doctor Krieger, However, if you’re using Wi-fi that has adult-content filters (such as used by a number of major hotel chains) which stop you looking up your usual watch-charging material, you can usually still get to the Gone Wild reddits - so it has some use.
Wait, you can upload from computers?
@Jolee Bindo, I was about to say. Could this person teach us their ways?
@TheWhiteWolf, come, my son.
Let me enlighten you...
I found a Stuck Pixel, Funny Pics website, and it's essentially just the app but online.
Alot more efficient in my opinion.
Well, really since Puerto Rico isn't a state Trump isn't their president. Puerto Rico also doesn't get to vote for president. the president and congress are more like foreign rulers that get to boss them around.
@Oujosh29, pretty sure the US President is considered Puerto Rico's Head/Chief of State, so I think Trump would be considered their president. They're still a territory under our sovereignty. But ya, they don't have any representation in presidential elections.
@Blue Shirted Guy, technicaly he is, but any Puerto Rican who doesn't want to claim him has a pretty decent argument against it.
@Oujosh29, How so? Puerto Rico is a United States Territory, legally he is their leader. Unless you meant like they wouldn't think of him as their president (god knows I do that every day). Curiosity killed the cat, but if you wouldn't mind enlightening me on what you mean?
@Silent Sorrows, I mean if a Puerto Rican doesn't want to think of him as their president, they can disown him because they couldn't vote and aren't a state.
@Silent Sorrows, dude, what's with the hentai avatar?
@Doctor Krieger, nothing to it really, it's just what I chose. It was a realistic V up close before... people seemed to like that, but I change it from time to time... why, what's up?
@Oujosh29, right but they couldn't disown him other than in their minds pretending... that's what I was saying. I guess I just don't understand what you're saying (most likely a problem on my side) true they don't get a say in who leads them but by law they still have to follow everything he says (to the same degree as the mainland, obviously if he says to jump off a bridge... well...) sorry to make you clarify again, I'm just curious if you have any legal evidence or if you're just discussing your opinion on the morals of keeping Puerto Rico as a territory, and the right of Puerto Rican's to choose to not think of him as their president because... well they just don't want him as their president, even though legally he is totally in control.
So USA owns a country in the same manner the British use to own the States, effectively, and Americans don't look upon that ownership fondly.
