This poor guy was way too young. Dont shy away from colonoscopies guys. It can save your life.
@ThePandaPool , what happend?
@CocoasBro, US actor Chadwick Boseman, best known for playing Black Panther in the hit Marvel superhero franchise, has died of cancer aged 43.
He died at home in Los Angeles with his wife and family by his side, a statement posted on social media said.
Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago but had not made the information public.
@ThePandaPool , I've had a few colonospcosies before for chronic conditions and they're not fun, but they're a hell of a lot better than cancer. I'm lucky to not have cancer but if you suspect something is up, get checked. It very well could save your life
@ThePandaPool , and eat your fiber too! Easy way to keep healthy colon
@ThePandaPool , He was just getting started. Absolutely devastating.
@The Lifeguard, same, I was born with a condition that causes polyp formation, so I've had 8 colonoscopies in my 25 years of life
@ThePandaPool , don't they usually screen for colon cancer like after 50
@ThePandaPool , the most respectful fact of this is that he knew that he had it, and his prognosis, was that he only made it known to very few people who were very close to him. I lost my mom in March due to cancer, and she had the same mentality about it. He (and my mom) just wanted to live out their days without getting pity from everyone, and I have a lot of respect for that. I can't speak for him personally, but my mom never asked for help, even in her last days. I imagine it was a similar situation for him. It's very unfortunate that he succumbed to the illness, but the way he handled it, and the few around him that knew, that is very dignified. Same way my mother handled it. It has to be a terrible feeling to go through that, but given his celebrity status, I have nothing but respect for the man on how he handled it
@CrazyRightWinger, I believe the CDC now recommends it at either 40 or 45 very recently. I have terrible stomach problems as is, and I'm only 33, so my doctor wants the scope to go in at both ends. The only reason I haven't done it yet is because I really don't like being put under.
@CrazyRightWinger, unless your family has a history, or there is something else going on. I have Lynch Syndrome, so I started at 34.
@ThePandaPool , lynch syndrome huh? That sounds like some racist cultural appropriation to me.
No but seriously, that sucks. I'm definitely no stranger to stomach issues
@ThePandaPool , my wife has Lynch syndrome, started getting colonoscopies at 25, missed a few years in her mid 30s, diagnosed with colon cancer at 38, had hemicolectomy and chemo, doing well now. Still gets annual scopes.
@occasionalmutant, I'm glad she pulled through. Keep up with it.
But i thought the Avengers undid Thanos’ snap
@Gallchobhair, made a different timeline. *Shakes head*
I honestly haven't watched Black Panther, because of all the racists praising it. I liked this dude, he was good in what I saw him in. I think I'll set down and watch it tonight. If nothing more, then to see him act one last time.
@That one lurker, the racists that were praising it were really just seeing what they wanted to see. It is a pretty good movie in it's own right.
@ThePandaPool , yeah. Black people don't need a fantasy world with a made-up uber material, to make a great nation. They just need to stop electing socialist and they'll get there.
PS: to the troglodytes that can't read, I am saying that I hate the racists that believe this. The ones that are saying this movies is empowering to black people.
To the ignoramuses that can't math, you don't know what's going on in Africa. you barely even know what's going on in America. Socialism has gripped their country like Iron Fist, and they have implemented your rhetoric. To where the South African president steals land for minorities, and actively promotes the slaughter of racial minorities. Just because they're white.
@That one lurker, i saw it in the movies before I read anything about it or any reactions and I liked it.
@CrazyRightWinger, got to say, nice movie. Hated parts some, loved other parts. The fact the movie was marvel oddly hurt it. I would have liked it more if it was an action drama like 21 bridges. But that's marvel for you.
He bought the people he was portraying back to life. Scars and all. Again, he was just getting started and we're less without his talent.
