Psychics are frauds. Stop being surprised by this, everyone with an IQ over double digits has known this for generations.
If someone legit could see the future (or read minds, or talk to the dead, etc), there are FAR more profitable ways to live than as a fortune teller. The only actual psychic who would run a business like that is a stupid one.
@I Are Lebo, but if they really were psychic and started a business, aren't we to assume they new it would go well?
@I Are Lebo, Not true. I once went to a psychic and she said that I had ADHD!
Although now that I think about it she may have been a "psychiatrist"
@Steve the cat, no, because even successful psychics are far less profitable than, say, a stock broker, or an investor trader, or even just a lottery winner.
Someone with actual supernatural abilities would be able to be rich without doing the same kinds of things that con artists do. The only ‘professional’ psychics that aren’t con artists are lunatics that actually believe their own tripe.
@I Are Lebo, maybe they just knew it would be a huge tax write off... but they wouldn't have to be psychic to know that.
@I Are Lebo, There was actually a study done by the CIA on a guy who had insanely weird extra sensory perception though, which I guess isn’t psychic but still in that realm. Like they would lock him in a room with no other info and have two researchers drive to a random area in the city and this dude would close his eyes and draw the surroundings of where the two researchers were. When they compared where the researchers went and what he had drawn, it was pretty 1:1, as if he had a blurred bird’s eye view on them. Pretty crazy stuff.
@Steve the cat, it’s a confidence game no matter which way you slice it.
@A Flying Panda, I’m not discounting the possibility of unknown phenomenon. I myself have experienced intuition bordering on precognition. My point is that if someone has an ability and can actually use said ability on command, being a con artist is a stupid way to take advantage of that ability.
@I Are Lebo, You're assuming a lot of things about what being "psychic" would actually entail, as though it would be as simple as manifesting lotto number or predicting stock market activity. While I tend to agree with your stance on most of them being frauds, having such a hard, close minded stance about it across the board seems unfair, especially when your foundation is based on very stereotypical ideas of what it means for someone to have psychic ability.
@Strange Tamer, I’m assuming nothing beyond supernatural abilities opening doors that would allow an intelligent person to take advantage of opportunities unavailable to those without them. The specifics are irrelevant.
No matter what the ability is, there are better uses than as a con artist because ALL psychics are con artists. Every single one of them. Not most. All.
How do psychics greet each other?
"You're good, how am I?"
There psychic in Gug’s town, she get beaten by ex-boyfriend. Gug’s father-in-law always love to say she no see that coming
I love the fact people think being "psychic" means you know everything before it happens 😂
@JacieTwisted, I love the fact that people think being “psychic” is something that actually happens. 🤣
@I Are Lebo, it is, my child, it is.
@JacieTwisted, sir, please stop touching my face.
