Big trouble in little China pt2. Mexican Boogaloo
@timofborg, Ol' Jack Burton rides again.
@timofborg, YES! I need this right now.
Not enough diversity, so no Oscar nod for you!
This is randomly awesome
It's not been made a movie because white people
@InsaneAnimeCleavage, we’re the Spanish conquistadors considered white?
@Dimir FTW, european is pretty white with different tans
@InsaneAnimeCleavage, that’s some racist mentality you got there
@InsaneAnimeCleavage, I need more info on what you trying to say exactly
@InsaneAnimeCleavage, I think it’s because “I might be paraphrasing” it’s doesn’t involve the white folk as a major role in American history where America is made to look number one so they won’t pay attention to this”
@seeUpee, read what I posted cuz I think that’s why
@DrSin, Apacolypto. And the Black Panther crossover scene is epic
@Che D Lay sir, hey I’m not saying their is zero movies where it isn’t focus on a white American I’m just saying maybe that’s why this isn’t a movie ? It’s a theory not a truth
@DrSin, I think that's it. Most of the time, producers use the excuse "it won't sell" because it doesn't focus on an American or American ideals, and yes, most of the time, they want a white protagonist (Dragonball Z, Ghost in the Shell, The Last Airbender, even the new Star Wars movies all end up focusing on white protagonists). One of the reasons Black Panther is/was so important is because it's a movie not set in America, with a predominantly black cast and African aesthetic, NOT focusing on the suffering of African-Americans, and it made a metric shjt-ton of money anyway. Even for those who don't like the movie, it must be stressed that it's success has opened the door for other films starring people of color and not focused on American ideals.
@SimonPetrikov, I mean you ain’t wrong, and a good movie is a good movie you don’t need to be white just have a good movie but America has been white washed hard
@DrSin, even in the video game world.
@SimonPetrikov, but it's also a comic written and drawn by white Americans Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for Marvel comics. Both fvcking legends in the comic book world. So it's not like any money went to African writers or swayed anyone to any country in Africa or any ideals which were different from main American ideals.
“100% historically accurate” isn’t possible in a history chapter, much less a fictional story.
This could work as either a heartwarming film about diversity and friendship, or an Emperor’s New Groove style comedy.
Sounds like the new Academy Award diversity requirements.
@SimonPetrikov, After what they did to the story in BL3, my friend pointed out the only way to redeem it is to paint the Crimson Raiders as the bad guys and Handsome Jack as the hero. Think about it, Jack wanted to stomp out the bandits once and for all. They stopped him and instead the bandits united to take over entire planets. Since Jack was killed, the borderlands universe (talking in game, not irl) has become much more unstable. Also Ava fvcked the entire storyline if you look into it. She fvcking sucked from introduction to end and it's being forced on us that she is one of the next Vault Hunters
