There are so many cool stories you could tell in the Star Wars universe, why try to shoe horn in a story about a character we don't need another story about? (I am however a hypocrite as I am very excited for the Obi-Wan movie)
@lazarusaurus, don’t worry, a lot of us are excited for the Obi-wan movie...as long as they cast homeboy Ewan for the role.
@lazarusaurus, see that’s why everything outside of the movies was declared not canon. So Disney could create their own version and stories of the universe. There are so many existing stories and lore they could build off of that would be fantastic but no that’s not canon.
Imagine if they did something about the Yuuzhan Vong war. It would be so different to the normal Star Wars people are used too but still have familiar elements. It would have potential.
@Richard Cypher, I just want a Kotor movie. Make the protagonist Revan, I don't care if everybody knows it, it's a good twist
As much as I would love that, I'd be annoyed if the character didn't do some of the decisions I did, such as romancing Bastila and bringing her back to the light side. I would also want every single line of dialogue from HK47 in said movie
I’m willing to give this a chance, but I wish Disney would branch out more. They need to stay away from the familiar. If there’s a Death Star appearance in Solo, I’m going to assume it’s parody at this point
@TheAgent, baby steps my young padawan. This is a proof of concept for Disney. Everyone knows Han Solo so he’s a “safe” choice. After they prove spinoffs make money we’ll get more obscure characters. Cuz Disney spent money they gotta make back before they start taking risks.
