@RRRsupersnake5, ok, although in recent days he may not being doing to many roles that require amazing acting, he still has some of the best acting in older movies he's been in, i.e. a few good men, Rainman, are just a few, in my opinion all of those ctors should have at least one oscar, if not then multiple.

@Jondabomb98, you make a valid point about his works in the past. They have unfortunately been overshadowed by his most recent works in my mind. I had forgotten about movies such as collateral, Jerry Maguire, and as you mentioned a few good men.

@RRRsupersnake5, he's a great actor, he's just not very dynamic. Put him in a role where the character needs to show confidence and an 'I can do whatever I want' attitude and he's perfect. Think Top Gun or Reacher.

Besides Leo DiCaprio, I don't find any of these actors to be "great actors", Jim Carey tried to be dramatic in that crap movie "23" and he sucked, he's a great actor in comedic movies but all of these actors are far from Oscar material... Just my opinion
