The colder states talk more about the cold than the warmer states talk about the heat.
Change my mind
@CaptainCrunchyCvnt, I mean, it’s true. Because it’s much easier to warm up when you’re cold than it is to cool down if you’re hot. It being too cold is a much easier situation to remedy than it being too hot.
@KrazyJ, oh I agree completely. I just meant colder weather people brag more about the cold they can take than warmer weather people do about the heat they can stand.
@CaptainCrunchyCvnt, that’s definitely true.
@CaptainCrunchyCvnt, living in 100+ weather is much easier than sub zero weather. In particular with how the weather acts and the conditions as such. Heat is heat but with cold you get snow and ice
@CaptainCrunchyCvnt, I agree with you.
Change my mind
@CaptainCrunchyCvnt, it's because cold weather can actually kill you. There's nothing dangerous or interesting about hot weather.
Possible unpopular opinion, I think it's more ballsy to live in cold than heat
@Fes, not gonna lie I'll take -20° over 120° any day of the week
@Fes, theres a reason Vikings are so big and tropical tribes are so small
@Fes, nah, its just easier. If you too cold, you just add more layers. Too hot, and there's only so much you can do before legal or anatomical reasons stop you
@Madelin, But the flaw in your argument is that humans HAVE to wear layers to withstand cold weather. We’re warm weather creatures as proven by our evolutionary background, which is why we don’t need any changes to handle hot weather. Plus our bodies are better at regulating hotter temperatures through sweating than cold temperatures through shivering.
@Fes, As a Canadian, you're right. You can just put more stuff in until you're not cold. You can only do so much for the heat. Plus, we get snow. But we are feeling the heat too. 33 people died in Montreal because of it.
@Fes, I have never experienced anything too cold, but I would take eternal winter over 1 more hot day anytime
@Fes, i get sick of cold because I’m a wimp and won’t swim once it drops below 60° consistently.
@Madelin, just take a bath in ice water. Should cool you down a bit. Wait till your core body temp is around 60-65°F and then get out of the tub. It'll keep you cool in the hottest weather, for the rest of your life.
Like if from Texass
The stars at night are big and bright
@Captain Anderson, *kicks door down* CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP!* “Deep in the heartttt of Texassss” 🎶
@Captain Anderson, I thought it was "the stars shine bright all day and night", your lyrics make more sense.
SW Louisiana, I agree with TX
I'm like 1776% certain that the USA was not created by Michael Worthington.
if its cold you can add layers on the other hand when its hot theres s limit to how many kayers you can take off
@mega gnar, woh, slow down and let spell check work it’s magic.
Florida is hotter. Fight me.
@RiffRaff, you’re surrounded by beaches and it rains every day at 2:30. You have plenty of relief lol
Kinda thought it was gonna be “the stars at night are big and bright”
SHUT YOUR BJTCH AZZ UP! ITLL LITERALLY GO FROM 30-100 IN THE MIDWEST WITH 90%+ HUMIDITY IN A FVCKING DAY YOU FVCKING DEAL WITH THOSE TEMPERATURES SWINGS OF GOING FROM SNOWING TO DEATH BY SUN AND HUMIDITY IN ONE FVCKING DAY!
It was 122 yesterday here in California. It was pretty humid too which just makes me was to set myself on fire to cool off
