Just trying to blend in
"Average boy" your clothes tell me otherwise
@smii7y, average *today*
Remember the days when if a girl felt boyish she was called a tomboy and then she usually grew out of it, instead of putting them in magazines and calling them brave and giving them hormones that permanently messes with their physiology
@Michael Fassbender, Honestly I'm all for Transgender rights and all that jazz, but there is a line. If you want to physically become the other gender then fine but think that sh!t through. That's a permanent life changing decision that a kid should not be making.
@OrangeZebras, I feel like people are trying so hard the be PC that they aren't thinking responsibly. Kids go through so many phases, why let them make a huge decision that early on? I predict in the future these "trans kids" are going to be in a lot of pain and regret. How are kids supposed to choose a gender, or that case even claim a sexuality, when they haven't full psychosexually developed?
@Michael Fassbender, if the person has a deformity, and it needs medical attention then by all means give them the surgeries or whatever they need to help them become what they want to be. I feel it is just a trend right now unfortunately but if people feel the need to do this stuff then they should research the pros and cons because hormonal influx is a bitch to deal with for people around them.
@Michael Fassbender, *grabs popcorn*
@OrangeZebras, what actually happens is that trans kids are given hormone blockers that delay puberty until they are old enough (16ish) to decide what types of hormones (natural birth-sex or artificial opposite-sex) they feel is right. You aren't giving testosterone/estrogen to eight year olds.
@Ruupasya, that's fvcked up
@Michael Fassbender, I think you're right in a lot of ways, but I think it's also true that people assume everyone has to be straight and cis and everyone else is "choosing". Cis people know that they're the right gender at a very young age. Why wouldn't trans people know their correct gender?
@InsaneWolf, because to not want to procreate is a deficiency. It goes against our evolutionary coding to further human development, so being heterosexual is normal.
@Ruupasya, if they aren't allowed to develop naturally, it'll effect their mentality
@Michael Fassbender, now you're saying that being gay is wrong, or "not normal", but there are homosexual beings in any species. In penguins, we recognize that they're there to take care of the young that heterosexuals have but can't care for. So it's not against our code to further human development
@InsaneWolf, From an evolutionary stand point, yes, being gay is not normal or beneficial to a species
@Michael Fassbender, it's beneficial because they can take care of all of the abandoned children we have in the world, which is not necessarily evolutionarily beneficial but it is bettering the species
@InsaneWolf, beneficial from a societal aspect, yes, evolutionarily beneficial, no
@InsaneWolf, regardless, this is about kids, kids have not fully developed, how can they claim a sexuality when they barely understand sex at all
@Michael Fassbender, would you also agree that assuming everyone is straight and having kids "choose" that is also bad? Because it's kind of the same to me. Yet being trans is different than sexuality, and I know a lot of people who know what gender they are fairly young (I'd say teenagers can know for sure)
@InsaneWolf, teens are more ok to me, I get pissed when it's kids younger than 10 being encouraged to do something which could just be a tomboyish phase, I've know a lot of feminine girls that say when they were young they were tomboys. Trans gender is a mental disorder called Gender dysphoria.
@Michael Fassbender, how are kids supposed to choose a gender when I'm 20 and I can't even choose a major
@Good Ol Days, lol exactly. I've always used the hypothetical question "imagine if your 10 year old self could get a tattoo of your favorite thing, how proud would you be to show it off?" Unless it's something like a sports team, they usually say they'd hide it up. I know I wouldn't want to have to explain why I would have a call of duty tattoo haha.
@Michael Fassbender, I would've gotten a tattoo of spongebob squarepants in that sick ass burger car. No way I could explain that
@Good Ol Days, "can't have sex until you're 18" even though we're ready at around age 14-15. "You're 8 and want to wear jeans and play in the dirt? Let's fucκ up your natural hormonal balance because we're ✌🏼️tolerant✌🏼"
@Michael Fassbender, it annoys me how parents like that are essentially babying the coming generations and making them so sensitive to everything. Like fvck when someone insulted me as a kid it was either we fought or we figured it out. We didn't have to go to counselors or sht like that. And we weren't diagnosed with bipolar disorder or some bs.
@Good Ol Days, I hate that what it's doing to the human race, but the fact that people like you and I are normal makes us much more attractive than the ones that lack social skills or a spine. I'm a cheetah in a slug race
@Michael Fassbender, so after reading some testimonies and talking to some pre, and post op trans people, it seems that the super large majority (90+%) of trans people knew they didn't feel their gender matched their genitals from an early age (usually 5-9). But that being said, there are a ton of boys who go through a girly phase and a ton of girls who go through a tomboy phase where the kid implies they'd wish they were the opposite gender. So I don't know exactly where I stand on it.
@XannDak, a few things to me 1) a 5-9 year old doesn't understand their genitals 2) a kid can't make any decisions by themselves, if a 7 year old flew on a plane by them self a couple of red class would be raised, why is it ok to let them make other huge decisions 3) refer to my tattoo comment and ask yourself if (because it's usually pretty funny) 4) merry Christmas
@Michael Fassbender, 1) I'd disagree but regardless you can feel you're the wrong gender without knowing about your genitals. 2) I definitely agree with you there, kids shouldn't be making a decision that huge, but we shouldn't ignore a kid saying they feel the wrong gender either, right? I think thats the reason why trans people have such a high suicide rate, nobody took them seriously for their entire lives. 3) 10 year old me would probably get something Iron Giant related, which is pretty funny. 4) Merry Christmas man! Make sure to spend it with people you love.
@InsaneWolf, don't be suprised. This is the guy who thinks a klan recruitment film is one of the best movies of all time.
@Michael Fassbender, why din
@Michael Fassbender, shjt, sent comment too early I meant to say that I dare you to actually say that shjt to a gay person. I hope you get your teeth fixed cunt.
@Keyboardstalker, I said it was significant to the film industry. Leave it to a keyboard warrior to twist my words.
@Michael Fassbender, okay, actually that part about getting your teeth fixed was a bit too far, so sorry about that. Whatever the case, I wish you a Merry Christmas
@Keyboardstalker, what's a queer gonna do if I say it? Not shiτ.
@Michael Fassbender, well go ahead internet tough guy. Do it if you're so confident.
@OrangeZebras, well before you start hormones therapy you have to be evaluated by a professional to make sure this is who you are... I should know I'm Transgender woman.. I knew this since I was 5. It's a weird feeling that is hard to explain.
"You're found my pig?! Aw that's great! I haven't seen him in years" *single tear*
