But I mean technically he didn't cause he needs to form a clone to use it until he fought assume later on and even then it's only cause kyuubi did it for him
@morningperson, often in the anime though, they refer to naruto as a master of it. He just does it in his own way
@morningperson, wow auto-correct.... sasuke your new name is assume
@Naga Sadow, well I'll give him props on one thing the first to successfully add in elemental affinity to it still through a clone though
@morningperson, but later he actually does learn... After 2 years, the only thing he learned...
@morningperson, so basically you're saying that if i can't memorize how to add 2+2, but i can figure it out by goinf 2+1+1, i didn't successfully learn a new way to get the same result in a way the works for me?
@morningperson, is the only jutsus that naruto knows is shadow clone and rasengan? (And the 1000 years of death..)
@Prince super Vegeta , and he made so many different styles
@morningperson, mastering doesn't mean you have to do it exactly like everyone else. it's being able to figure a new and better way (for you) to do the same thing. masters can change the way it's done to fit them, while beginners do exactly as told.
@MrWonka, you are forgetting about the harem jutsu..yes I am aware that it is just a shadow clone and transformation combo
@morningperson, "kyuubi did it for him" is a good way to summarize how Naruto got as far as he did.
@morningperson, even then, he still didn't master it. He was able to create it, but it was an unfinished version. If he had actually mastered it, Kabuto would be dead. Just look at when he fought Sasuke the first time. Kabuto would need severe medical ninjutsu or he would be dead if he was hit by a full rasengan at point blank in the gut.
@morningperson, Also, funny enough, kyuubi was the reason for Naruto needing to use clones. Kyuubi didn't like him mixing their chakura. The reason he continued to use clones was for propulsion. He could create rasengan by himself since the time skip, just needed two hands.
@Naga Sadow, Well Naruto is only the master of Sage mode and Ninja Clone jutsu, other than that he is just junin level. If it weren't for his limitless Chakra he would have died a long time ago. Now his kid Boruto is a true master of the Rasengan, he learnt it in 5 days and mastered it in around a week, even changing the nature of his Rasengan mid jutsu and actually being able to throw, a feat that is impossible because the Rasengan needs a constant Chakra supply. Boom get weabooed!
@ Seductive Cheeto, Don't forget that he wasn't the first to do that. Naruto can throw his wimd rasen shuriken and wxpand it like he first did in his fight with pain.
@Unregistered dude, Naruto has to actively change the Rasengan into a different format in order to throw it, Boruto seems to compress the Chakra in a way that it doesn't seem to lose power without a constant power supply.
@ Seductive Cheeto, so in other words he has to change the format?
@OIiver Queen, No because it's just a regular Rasengan but perfected so it's not an unstable jutsu anymore.
@ Seductive Cheeto, but it was Naruto who perfected rasengan by adding wind element to it right? Changing it past that becomes a different jutsu or at least a different version. Like when kakashi tried to make rasengan from the 4th's jutsu when he was a kid. When he applied lighting style it became chidori
@OIiver Queen, I would argue that he didn't even master the Rasengan because while it did become one of his most powerful jutsus, it was extremely volatile. Him not paying attention could easily cause a Rasengan to blow up in his face. When Naruto applied elements to the Rasengan he made new jutsus basically, but didn't really change anything about the overall design. Boruto added a new core to the jutsu that makes it stable enough for him to not even think about it and have it just stay there unless he releases it or something.
@ Seductive Cheeto, on a side note really quick I'm loving this I'm so glad there are other people into Naruto as much as I am. Back to the point then narutos rasengan I don't think differed in any way from any of the other users besides boruto. The basic one he learned from jiraya was the original one that minato learned too. The thing that separated them was just his way of creating it. So that is basically the rasengan jutsu in everything it is. Changing something about it like making it throwable requires something to be done to it. Thus changing the jutsu. Kind of like how dragon flame jutsu is an improvement of just flame jutsu. It's just an upgraded version but it creates something new.
@OIiver Queen, True true, but as an example let's look at the telerpotation jutsu of the 2nd hokage and compare it to the telerpotation jutsu of the 4th hokage, they both agree that it is the same jutsu but lord 4th changed the way the jutsu is delivered. Naruto used the telerpotation jutsu to dodge the Raikage, but he delivered it as lord 2nd would have, but that doesn't make it a different jutsu. That's how I see Boruto and his Rasengan, he added his own spin (literally) but it is still the same power house jutsu that has been passed down from mentor to student. Dragon flame requires a different amount of Chakra and signs than simple flame, and have very different effects (dragon flame being much bigger and destructive).
@ Seductive Cheeto, f*ck that's a good point. I cede to you my friend well fought.
@OIiver Queen, thank you for the discussion
@morningperson, this comment chain is why people aren't getting laid
@morningperson, he is a master because he is able to perform the jutsu faster than any other ninja, able to extensively change its nature and power, and is able to keep them as stable entities for extended periods of time. While he does get assistance from his clones and the nine tails, he still holds extreme mastery over the jutsu. His mastery of the rasengan pales in comparison to that of his son though..
@ Seductive Cheeto, he doesn't form it faster than anyone else he just can form it anywhere in his general area because of the ninetails and he has many variations compared to others... The only two things he does better than anyone is being able to throw it and the other is using elemental versions... Both depend on his massive amount of chakra he gets from the ninetails (or other tailed beasts during the last war) and also from his ability to extend chakra further from his body because of that enormous chakra
@morningperson, He first becomes able to perform the Rasengan faster than Jiraiya and then faster than Minato, literally the two sole masters of the jutsu. I do cede on the point that he achieves this mastery by being able to exponentially increase his experience by training with a lot of clones, something he is only able to do cause he's a jinchuriki. But he is definitely a master of the jutsu, just the fact that he can use it effectively in combat is proof of that, but he can actually create variations that can be thrown and actually create several rasengans at the same time. Sure his extreme reserve of Chakra was necessary to advance as fast and far as he did, but that still does not mean he is not a master of the jutsu.
@morningperson, actually, it's mentioned in the show how most of Naruto's chakra control is inhibited because it's disrupted by Kurama. Given how strongy he can mess it up, it's amazing that Naruto has ANY chakra control, let alone use a jutsu that requires such delicate control. It's amazing that he can use Rasengan at ALL. That's why Naruto's shown to have such insane chakra control when Kurama does finally start working with Naruto.

I literally just watched this episode today. Wow
