If the Earth was flat. Would meteors go through it like bullets on a paper target, or would it just make a dent like a metal target?
@FlyingLegHair, unless the meteor is a 5.56, at which point it will still go through the metal target
@FlyingLegHair, or would it make a crater where it hit like rock? You know the stuff that the Earth is made of?
@FlyingLegHair, or would it hit one edge of it and spin the thing a million times?
The fact that people actually believe this baffles me
@BIGCMEN, its only dumb super religious people, so no one important
@Dexios S Divine, the second they start believing the flat earth theory they become insignificant to us normal people haha
@Dexios S Divine, I agree that it is super dumb people, but no one I know who believes it is religious at all.
@Mkb617, its based on the bible, shows how dumb they are that they don’t even know the origin. Biggest argument I’ve been seeing is we’re “hiding the truth” that god exists. How a bunch of humans can do anything to block GOD is fücken beyond me, but thats their bile they spew
@Dexios S Divine, that is the problem with many people who read the Bible, they take things out of context and don’t account for the age of the writings. Also translations are bad or incomplete. If I told you my friend josh was really quick, would you think he was smart or was fast runner? Also, people try to use the Bible to make points that really aren’t there. They take a phrase like “the four corners of the Earth” from the Bible to mean that the person writing it literally thought there were four corners. That was a common expression to just mean far distances. If I wrote something now stating that people didn’t really believe in flat earth and were just pulling our legs. Hopefully people 2000 years from now wouldn’t think that our legs were actually being grabbed and pulled by some psycho. I don’t think it is so much that “ religious” people believe it, so much as people who believe it try to use the Bible as a way of saying even people in the past believed it
@Dexios S Divine, Isaiah 40:22 says the earth is round...
@king of sharks, As I have stated in my other posts, I don’t believe that the Bible is actually trying to say that the world is flat and that it is all about interpretations that people are either intentionally or without realizing it changing to make a point...... that being said most versions of the Bible do not refer to the earth as round in Isaiah 40:22... it is said to be a circle. That being said, a globe as seen from above would look circular.
@Mkb617, religion is fake as well
Believe in something right
@megamanx181x, Careful bro, the MSM might make a hit piece on you now
I'm something of a scientist myself.
