And you want a 20 dollar minimum wage
wE dEmAnD FiFtEeN DolLaRs aN hOuR!!!
@IronBelly, McDonalds cashiers: Give us $15 an hour.
McDonalds: *installs electronic kiosks for ordering food to replace 90% of the work done by the cashiers*
Cashiers: -insert surprised Pikachu meme here-
@IronBelly, what’s even more infuriating is that they’re getting it in some states
@IronBelly, I currently make well above minimum wage, well over $15/hr too. I work my ass off in a warehouse with no AC moving at as very fast pace while all they do is deal with customers and "make" food. I used to work at McDonald's and it's incredibly easy compared to what I do. If their rate of pay catches up to mine, that will severely piss me off
@IronBelly, tHeY dEsErVE a LiViNg WaGe!
@IronBelly, honestly after hearing the stories my friend has told me about dealing with terrible customers that come to McDonalds, some of them deserve it
@IronBelly, realized it was sarcasm did you?
@big freedom, wtf. No. I replied but it didn’t go through. I didn’t write anything that would get blocked by funny pics. Oh well, I don’t care enough to write it again. ✌🏿
@IronBelly, my notification said that you said:
<——- found the McD’s employee. If you want to be paid a living wage, earn it.
I agree with you. We’re on the same side.
My comment was the same sarcasm as your top comment.
@Elmato, that’s the problem with increasing minimum wage at the rate it’s been going. Their wage is catching up to those of us with specialized positions. It also has a direct impact on the cost of living in those areas which completely offsets the minimum wage increase. It’s a vicious cycle.
@IronBelly, not so hot take, but hear me out if you can:
McDonalds employees deserve a living wage if they're working 40 hours a week or more. I mean, I know the job is considered to be easy to most people, but I've worked in many fast food businesses and restaurants, and the actual hard part of the job isn't the work itself. It's the customer service and being treated like complete sh!t by those customers/your boss/your coworkers sometimes. I'm not saying that working 15-20 hours a week should allow you to buy a house, obviously. But putting everything you have into any job you do should be enough to AT LEAST survive on. That being said, I've dealt with a lot of moronic McDonalds employees, and those ones don't deserve sh!t
@Zaninite01, WHAT you’re saying that humans who work a job full time should be treated as such and not as lesser members of society because of their workplace? How dare you you’re hurting my feelings cause I think I’m better than them and that’s the only thing I have going for me.
And this is, among many other reasons, the reason they’re at a McDonald’s.
En wat kuntry do chillay got coocumbah?
As a teacher, I can see this happening to certain students
Well....they definitely went places. Not college, but places. Places of the cheap and greasy variety.
Hey as long as they actually get the order right for once I'm not judging
They could just be fvcking around, I’d be pretty bored writing the same sh!t down too.
It's not them getting $15 an hour that's the problem. It's the supposedly skilled people on just above that wage who are suddenly realising they aren't really worth much more than that and they can't ask for a raise..
I won’t judge; they’re probably ESL, meaning they know more languages than I do.
Didn’t think you can force someone read with a Chinese accent guess I was wrong
Stay in school kids
Printer not broke. They just taking too long to clean it
