@Stuckpixel Police, i personally believe that no joke is off limits , however i don't like it when people use the excuse i am this so i can say that or i am from here so i can insult that place. To me being from a certain place or being a certain person should not count as a pardon. It is pretty much like a black guy saying slavery was cool but because he is black it is ok. We are all free to say what we want but we shouldn't use our background to gain amnesty. Sorry for the long rant.

@PeanutButterPopsicle, the short term repercussions suck. When obama took office I had $25 per pay premium, $250 ded, and $3000 out of pocket Max. Now I have $260 / $3000 / $10000. Obama says that's affordable. And the ded / out of pocket used to have per person sub limits. With university costs starting in Aug my family would be better off if I died and they went on social security.

@CriTiKa1, I have two preexisting conditions (Marfan's Syndrome and Hypogammaglobulenemia), and Obamacare screws me over. I work 31 hours a week (because my job refuses to let me go full time), and I had health insurance through my job before Obamacare. A plan in my area is $460 a month, when I make less than the mandated level of poverty. I also go to college, and luckily get financial aid. It's cheaper for me to pay the fine of not being able to afford health insurance than actually to have it.

@UnluckyMonk, yeah, Obamacare (or affordable care act) is just another way to help our already f'd up system by helping to get health care for everyone in our country in order to lower our taxes. (similar to Europe and Canada) However, even though the plan was originally made by Republican Mitt Romney, the plan was adopted by Obama because of it's actual usefulness and since the election required everyone to hate Obama, the Republican Party turned on their own plan in order to make Obama look bad. To conclude, uneducated republicans still argue about it today and still avoid all the evidence pointing to its beneficial properties. ... Thanks Obama.

@UnluckyMonk, nothing free about it. Even if have no job u have a massive deductible to meet. Wife's option is 400 a month on a 15k salary for just her, family is more than her pay. Mine is up 5k in out of pocket costs from 5 years ago. Plus since she has a job that offers a plan we get a 120 a month surcharge and if we do not meet physical / take health classes yearly its another 40 dollar surcharge. Obamacare is closer to fuedalism than the panacea it was masqueraded as.

@UnluckyMonk, It's not free. You still have to pay for it. Like I said, the a lot of people have to pay extra money so that others who previously couldn't get health care can now get it. Some people's premiums went up hundreds of dollars per month. And no, it's not good. A lot of people don't, including me, don't want to pay someone else's hospital bills.

@UnluckyMonk, we had to force the 20 somethings to get healthcare to pay for the older populations health issues but changed what the basic free/low income insurance covered (Medicare or Medicaid I can never remember which) which in turn changed what all insurance covered (everything is based off..let's say Medicare) and caused insurance premiums to rise and Drs to stop accepting some insurance companies because of change in how they reimbursement after Obama said

@Udder Despair, problem is its still not affordable. Insurance company would raise premiums even without Obamacare but people still blame Obamacare for the price increase. Completely forgetting its been going up every year long before Obama. My issue is the tax paperwork consider %8 of you income as affordable healthcare. I would be depending proof from insurance companies that their expenses went up at the exact same time that preexisting conditions had to be excepted to show proof that they weren't just price gouging
Or the civil war or any war or the persecution of woman maybe prohibition which rose crime to a severely high amount or maybe Detroit (I'm from Detroit calm down)
