@TheMultiOrgasmicMan, for real, I've seen to many people with 90% of their windshield and 100% of their windows covered with ice or snow. That's beyond ignorance and is straight up stupid.

@officer fireman, in the military, 5 seconds late and you better have a believable excuse, usually easier to do this if you’re crunching to get there with 30 seconds left to spare (or blame traffic although they’re not stupid.)

Lived in an area with only occasional freezing temps. Sometimes it rained that night though or would condense a ton on my wind shield. I'd get off work at 4 AM, come out and find the ice so stubborn that I couldn't scrape it off with my credit card. And I was driving a '72 Ford with a clogged heater core, a disintegrated defroster duct, and they didn't come with windshield sprayers. It was a long, slow, teary drive home with my head out the window at 4 am. And no radio either so I couldn't play that "40 below" song.
