Young Frankenstein is a fantastic and hilarious movie. For anyone who hasn't seen it, I highly recommend it.
Plus, it's got Gene Wilder (RIP).
So her name doesn't mean glue, nor does it have any association with something horses should be worried about. Gene Wilder wanted to parody the ominous sounds that are played when you say a villains name; typically lighting crashing. Later, after Mel Brooks already approved it, someone told him it meant glue. So the rumor is close but not the real reason. There is also a general that was notoriously rough on horses and had 3 shot from under him. Also a good connection but the writers had no idea who he was. Gene got the name from people who corresponded with Sigmund Freud. He needed an authentic sounding German name and he found a letter from someone named Blücher and ran with it.
@Verzaad, seems legit. I love good movie trivia thanks
